Kids enjoy playground, hunting for rocks and running free. Concerts are free and family orientated.ice cream shop near by as well as snack shack. Boat ramps being rebuild after hurricane. Some restaurants.
This park is somewhat new to St. Mary's, and the designers made great use of the waterfront area. It is really a beautiful spot to walk around. We especially loved the porch swings overlooking the water.

There is no beach here. There also is no beach at Crooked River State Park as another answer suggested. There are beaches at Cumberland Island accessible by ferry or at Jekyll Island and St Simons Island accessible by car.
