This pretty park is a wonderful destination to while away a few hours on a lazy day to read a book, catch the breeze or just gaze across the water to Florida from the shade of its trees.

We walk our dog there every day. Jeff, the public works employee, keeps the park immaculate. Get a ice cone or drink at Knuckleheads and rock in a swing.

We walked the waterfront park after dinner and it was so beautiful! There are several places to sit, including swings, to watch the beautiful water, birds, and sunset.

This park is somewhat new to St. Mary's, and the designers made great use of the waterfront area. It is really a beautiful spot to walk around. We especially loved the porch swings overlooking the water.

There is no beach here. There also is no beach at Crooked River State Park as another answer suggested. There are beaches at Cumberland Island accessible by ferry or at Jekyll Island and St Simons Island accessible by car.
