A very beautiful place on a map that may get overlooked. The history of the gap goes back to the early days of our country. The westward expansion and the need to find an easier way through the mountains. It was also a place where...More
The visitors center here has a video with a well written narrative, good actors and beautiful scenery. The exhibits are well presented covering the history from the creation of the mountains to the present time.
What a great visitors center- video is a must see about Daniel Boone and his dedication to settling this area of our country. The center offered unique items- dulcimers and banjos!!! Be sure and take the short hairpin curved drive up to the Pinnacle- awesome...More
