This is a wonderful park to visit. There is a very nice visitors center where one can watch two very educational films about the region. There are many hiking trails. One can also camp here.

A very beautiful place on a map that may get overlooked. The history of the gap goes back to the early days of our country. The westward expansion and the need to find an easier way through the mountains. It was also a place where...More

The visitors center here has a video with a well written narrative, good actors and beautiful scenery. The exhibits are well presented covering the history from the creation of the mountains to the present time.

Very interesting visit but a bit disappointed with the Daniel Boone exhibition. The view form the Pinnacle is outstanding. We did not hike but would assume you would have a great time hiking the trails

This is a great park! Right on the main road, free, offers hiking, camping, pic nick areas, area history, info about Daniel Boone and an amazing view from the top of the mountain. There is wildlife galore and packed with history.

The marker is at the top of a hill at the end of a trail-there’s a gazebo and a small plaque for each state along with a marker on the ground.
