We enjoyed this tucked away monument. The visitor centre has awesome information and is very educational...we spent close to an hour just reading all the different displays. Then it was on to the summit, along a 3.4 mile mostly gravel road. I'd driven the Moki...More

The drive to the parking lot and the views it affords is great in itself. Once at the parking level there are facilities available and displays about the history. If you can, take the walk up to the summit. It's uphill but they constructed steps...More

Fun little memorial, helpful rangers. Bring your head lamp and check out the cave. It is self guided so different from any protected cave that I have explored.

Coronado National Monument is free to visit. There is a nice visitor centre with lots of information on the area, and a huge picnic area across the road. The road is paved until just past the visitor centre and then is a good gravel road...More

Fun dirt road drive along a shelf road to the top. From there you get a 300 degree view of the valley. We hit it on a clear day and could see 'Russia from our back yard'...... well we could see across the boarder to...More

Drove up to the top. Lots of curve and slow ride up, but well worth the effort. Then the hike to the peak where the views are great, albeit very windy on the day we went. Tried to hike to the border marker but quit...More

Good history lesson here, followed by a drive up a windy, unpaved road for two miles to the mountain top parking area. Then a pleasant hike to the vista point for a great 360 degree view of the surrounding area. Kind of remote, yes. But...More
