I have visited this National Monument on two occasions and I am so amazed at the formations of the beautiful red rocks. Having a large fear of heights makes it difficult for me to enjoy this the way some people do, but I can stand...More

Beautiful drive through the Colorado National Monument. Rocks were very colorful. Several places to pull off and get out of your car to enjoy the view and walk short distances. North end is more colorful than the south end. South end has a place to...More

Did a solo getaway mid week. Traffic was light and plenty of parking along the route. Go mid week if you can! Take your time and get out and take pictures and just spend a few minutes soaking it all in. Incredible views and can't...More

Pay the $15 and enjoy the drive thru Rim Rock Drive. I think I spent about 2 hours total from the Fruita gate to the Grand Junction gate, parking along the vista points. The visitor center tells the story of area and has modest worthwhile...More

Definitely a must see if you're in the area. I thought I would just drive through but I couldn't help but stop every mile to look in awe. There is only place to stop for a rest room on the north side of the park....More

Fantastic and Endless places to hike with breathtaking views. Our favorite is the hike to Independent Rock. My husband likes to hike it twice a week. Often we see the Rocky mountain sheep and the darling little babies.
