Relaxing, beautiful tree lined road creates a quick and easy trip between Williamsburg and Yorktown. Deer, birds, woodchucks all along the route. Pull offs with signage to explain history make the journey a pleasure.

Colonial Parkway connects the best historical attractions of the area in a smooth, wide roadway through the woods, marked with great signage, that makes it easy to find your destinations with a minimum of traffic lights, stop signs and traffic distractions. The speed limits are...More

The colonial Parkway is a tree lined road that connects Colonial Williamsburg with Yorktown. Speed limit is 45mph so it isn't the road you want to take if you are in a hurry. As you drive, the trees will give way to views of the...More

When in Williamsburg you need to take a relaxing ride on the Colonial Parkway to Yorktown and Jamestown. The ride is scenic, relaxing and you will get to see deer at dusk. We have been going to this area for many years for vacations and...More

We went in June when everything was green. The roadway connects historic cities together and makes it easy. This would be great during the fall when the colors change. It's a easy 25 mile drive

The Parkway will get you to most of the major area attractions or you can take it end-to-end for a beautiful, relaxing drive. Well worth the time it takes.

Scenic drive if you are traveling the historic triangle. Obviously the interstate would be faster but not scenic. Take this drive but be prepared for a slow drive if you get behind slow drivers.

A spectacular drive. I would NOT drive here just to drive on it though, Explore it as you explore the area. Very scenic. Very historic.

Yes...of course. It is open year round and locals use it to avoid I-64 when it gets jammed up or they want a peaceful, easy drive. There are a lot of historical markers and pull-offs. I great place to go star gazing as the... More
