A great place to picnic or simply chill for the afternoon. The grandkids had a blast swimming and exploring along the York River.

We listened to some local band while relaxing on the beach. It was a great and relaxing evening. I would definitely come back.

Beach is good for seniors, small children and sunbathers! It is a very small beach and there are no waves. I do not recommend Beach for teenagers. Town area and places to walk are very cute and quaint.

Visited with friends and wasn't too crowded. Good place to take a stroll or sit and look out over the water.

This is a very small beach on the York River. It is shallow and there aren't any waves. It gets very crowded. There are public restrooms but no lifeguards or showers. There is parking down Water Street within a nice grassy area which is great...More

There are still some jelly fish. As the water gets cooler, you will see less and less.

Matthew (above) answered your ? Quite thoroughly. Though I might add, the beach upriver has no lifeguards and I would emphasize the boat traffic is also more congested there. Also sea nettles might be a problem if you don't... More
