The good - this is dry camping right on the ocean front. The surf is breaking just outside your RV or off your bedroom, and you are quite literally oceanfront. The bad - Like most oceanfront areas, these sites are very small (narrow) and you...More

A recent trip to CA and old haunts was very disappointing, this was one of them, crowded, hard to find parking, some areas fenced off, more rocks now and less sand, hard to get to the beach, not as pretty and sedate as it was...More

We stayed here after flooding forced evacuation from another location but were very disappointed in the facility. Typical of many State parks, there were no services (power, water, sewer) but the paved part of the site was not very long and therefore was very difficult...More

I must say that even though this is a dry camp, this was by far one of if not our favorite campsite because of it's location. Yes, you do have to be self contained, but who cares when you have a view like this. There...More

We biked from our hotel on a fantastic beach bike path and stopped here to play in the sand. This was the perfect spot to bring a toddler as (being a weekday) was not busy at all and we could watch him enjoying himself in...More

Emma Wood State Beach The location is nice, although mostly dirt so when the wind blows, get ready to get coated with dirt! The beach at the first 10 sites has some nice sand and the rest of the spots in the campground is covered...More

We love camping right on the water! But our vacation was ruined by a thief in the night! He came prepared to cut the lock on our generator, so if you have anything you want to keep, lock it up tight inside your rig!!!!!

The end sites are the best as you don't have anyone on either side. 72, 73, 74 are smallest. Be prepared to be sandwiched in on most sites and 100% dry camping, no dump station, water, toilets etc.
