I just love recycling, so I was pleased when this failed church was transformed into a theatre. The productions have been a mixed bag, but Ventura is a small town.

We saw A Christmas Carol. We have seen many versions on stage and this was one of the better directed and acted. There was very clever use of the stage and props and a well thought out combination of narration and acting which allowed more...More

It's a long way from Broadway to Ventura but it's a great place for our fair citizens to see local actors and actresses bring theatre to us. Both of my granddaughters have performed at Rubicon thru the years. The most recent was my oldest granddaughter...More

We have been to at least half a dozen plays and musicals at this theatre. They pull talent from LA/Hollywood, around the country and a bit from abroad. The productions are sometimes unique, featuring lesser known playwrights, and sometimes traditional, like A Christmas Carol in...More

Experience is likely affected by the performance seen the the seat location. Our seat location was poor, pushed up against the back wall. Fortunately, the staging was centered in the room. The charm of being in an old church was inviting; however, as you work...More

We have concessions in the lobby that provides sodas and water, (occasionally depending on the show we also serve wine), and there are gourmet pastries and candy bars for purchase.

Hi, I double checked the theatre schedule and I'm sorry to say I mispoke in the message previously sent. The play ended on Sunday, 11/13. The next production is A Christmas Carol and it starts on December 7th.
