We had a morning before we left Cedar City so we decided to check out this local museum! We are glad we did! The price was right for Seniors, only $4 and children 7 and under were free! The museum had many hands on activities for children and a fine collection of Frontier artifacts. We had an enjoyable visit!

On our final day in Cedar City (May 12, 2017) we wanted to learn some history about the area. We found this wonderful Frontier Museum. It only cost $4.00/person ($2.00 if you are a Utah senior citizen). It has a very nice collection of vehicles inside the building, but the outside is excellent with several buildings you can explore. Each... More

What a great museum they have in Cedar City, it is well worth stopping for a visit. I spent about two hours looking at all the displays they have. Great history lesson about the Utah Park Company.

We drove up from St George to visit this museum and it took us about an hour to get there. We had 10 kids that ranged from 7-14. Everyone had a great time at this place because there is a lot of hands on fun for everyone. Usually museums are look but don't touch places, but not here. All the... More

What a great place to visit , loads of different exhibits indoors and out, they also have talks and demonstrations , check what's on, free parking and don't forget to climb into the ore digger at the front door, also located in the town centre

This was one of my favorite stops on our whole trip! (Even compared to some of the parks). This museum is so well done. Many interesting things to do and see. The best part is it is very interactive. There are things to see, hear and explore. I loved this for my children. Very educational! I HIGHLY recommend visiting.

I got here late in the afternoon, but still had enough time to soak in the local history of iron and of the city. I would have like to have seen more, but the clock was ticking. I had come from Nevada and had not realized there was a time change somewhere in the middle, so my plans to spend... More

This little museum is a gold mine of local culture. I remember the gentleman that was the originator of the collection, Gronway Perry. Well worth your time, and seldom a crowd.

Went there in Feb of 2017 on our way through. Enjoyed it very much. Large assortment of displays. I do wish some of the outdoor exhibits were open, especially the old house. Overall, well worth the stop.
