Nice park.

I love the north side of the lake, because it is quieter. Simply stunning view everywhere! I did one hike on a Sunday, I recommend early or during the week. Sundays were very crowded.

We arrived here late on New Years Day with just an hour of daylight left so chose to hike the 1 mile Lower Falls Trail. Short, but very sweet -a beautiful, easy trail through some cool rock formations to the Falls. Definitely plan on coming back to do some of the longer, more challenging trails.

Camped this past weekend at Addison Run in the Houck Area. The sites were perfect for tent camping – clean and nicely spaced. Addison Run costs a little more, but it has electricity, a shelf for your pots and pans and the fire rings have grills. The bath house sits in the middle of the sites and so is convenient... More

I camped at this park many years ago when my child was young. It was a nice park and the facilities were good, I recall. I remember that some of the camping areas were pretty rocky which made tent camping a challenge. I believe we ended up sleeping in our car. We were there in the early 2000s so the... More

Nice boardwalk to the Falls. A little early for beautiful fall color and not much water flowing over the falls, but still pretty.

We had not been to Cunningham Falls for years and revisited yesterday. We had a nice hike to the falls through the forest and thoroughly enjoyed the great fall weather. The falls are the highest cascading falls in Maryland and are lovely but, don't a dramatic waterfall- just a beautiful spot. There is also a 40+ acre lake for summer... More

It's difficult to rate this park fairly, because there are so many aspects to it. There is boating, hiking, bird/nature watching, climbing, swimming, camping etc. My review is specifically on the beach area and the hiking trail to the falls. It was too cold to swim when we were there, and the bathhouses and refreshment areas were all closed for... More

We approached the falls and park from the national park site with an interest to photographing them. Unfortunately it was a sunshine day on the weekend in early spring. Good news: without leaves on the trees, the falls were quite visible and easily photographed. Bad news: they are wimpy at that time of year. More bad news: idiots galore ignore... More

We went here during Colorfest. Park is beautiful. Hike to Falls is awesome. Bathrooms are clean. Cabins are nice with electric. Park staff was a bit zealous with the parking.
