Not everyone knows but you can make your way from 51st to 57th through the buildings in midtown. It's a nice way to avoid some of the crazy tourist midtown traffic

This is basically a walkway in the middle of the block between streets. The numbering almost seems like its out of Alice in Wonderland. Its cute to get a picture of this and say that you have been here.

There's probably a historical logical reason for having a 1/2 Ave, but the fact that exists is enough to get me to want to see it. Easy to find.

Between 57th St. and 50th St. and between 6th and 7th Avenues there is a public walkway through the buildings for the convenience of pedestrians so they don't have to go to the avenues to access the streets in between. There are actually street signs...More
