This is a recently opened pedestrian bridge originally built as part of the NYC water system in 1855. It goes from one park on the Manhattan side to one in the Bronx. It is a very nice experience. The only problem I had with it...More

This is the 3rd time I walked this, first time with my wife. Beautiful walk over traffic, nicely landscaped, with nice vistas, artwork, and architecture every few dozen steps. Only down side this time was the amount of building construction alongside the walk which meant...More

Nice pedestrian-only bridge linking Manhattan and the Bronx. It also provides sweeping views of the two boroughs and the Harlem River. It has the distinction of being the oldest bridge in the city but is not very touristy, owing to its location away from most...More

Who knows about this great historic bridge? The High Bridge offers spectacular views of the Harlem River. It has been recently restored with a beautiful walking path. Take the walking path through High Bridge park rather than the stairway (98 steps).
