Not a terrible comic shop but for the name recognition and the hype you think they'd have more back issues, stuff from the 70s'-80s' on their upper level and they don't and it's flabbergasting sort of. All the staff I interacted with were friendly even if two of them had no idea what I was referring to or asking about magazines or where things were but that's not the end of the world.
If you're a comic book store in Times Square that's already pretty cool because I feel there's a sense of history as the American Comics Industry really began in NYC. But there's no historical sense here except for a handful of late 60s' comics on the wall that are severely overpriced for the specific issues they are... I don't know, it was pleasant but not the "magic" place you wanna get lost in that you'd expect from such a hyped up shop.

The reason for this terrible review is due to the online ordering lack of customer support when there is a problem. You will only receive generic responses and the support will put the blame back on the customer. They also get very vindictive and will ruin future orders on purpose and will only offer a 25% cost of each book that is damaged. They also have a policy in place that if you the paying customer decides to return the damaged books to get a full cost refund back to your card, you the paying customer has to pay for that shipping to return the damaged books. I would not recommend this company to anyone that is a serious collector as this place does not and will not treat a customer as one should be treated.

I had heard of this store before so we went to check it out. The store is two floors, with figures mainly on the top floor with back issues. They do have a bit of everything, but my store back home is way bigger. We were looking for specific titles and they did not have any of them.

They cancelled my order after sending me a verification email that got lost within their spammy emails. Terrible first experience. Why couldn’t they have verification set up on their Website or App? Why don’t they inform you you when you make an account or make an order that you will receive an email where you have to verify your card and ID? I called this store and they couldn’t help me with this issue. Overall terrible first impression compared to Rightstuf Anime.

Two full floors of comics and merchandise. What's not to love! My son and I visited in August, he is a huge spiderman fan and had a field day buying practically all their stock. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great little find!

My son is a big Marvel fan and I wanted a gift for him. I confess that I was well out of my depth but the staff were super helpful and gave excellent advice and pointed me in the right direction for some comics from their “bargin bucket” found a Batman and Scooby Doo comic (who knew) plus a superman one. No Spider-Man which was disappointing but I guess it’s supply and demand at what they have at the time. We don’t really have many of these types of stores in the uk so it was interesting to see.

Popped in to see if they had the two current favourites for the children, unfortunately not. But the staff were both super helpful. There’s a huge range of comics, books, merchandise etc over two floors.
The shop is on the first and second floors up some steep steps from the street entrance.

Our previous visit to New York followed a visit to Comicon in London so my son was in full on OCD mode with comic books, so upon our return he had already planned his visits out.
The shop is open till late so our agreement was that he could stop in on the way back to the hotel, mistake, we would hit the shop about 10pm and was dragging him out after over an hour. The choice of comics, books and memorabilia is immense over two floors.
They also run a loyalty scheme, which I assume you build up over time but my son managed to max out over 5 days. $120 from memory got you $20 off, trust me he used it.
There is another store, which he tried, but we always came back here, I feel I know that staircase well and at one point I spent so long hanging about outside that people were offering me food/spare change.
Definitely worth a visit, however beware if you have kids as this could be the black hole for time and money...

You could spend all day in this place if you are into comics syfy and every thing in between looking at all the stuff the staff know their stuff and I came away with a cool t shirt and my son with a model of Thanos if you are in New York and Near 40th street call in

Great location to find comics in the heart of Times Square plus loads of figures & pop vinyl for hardcore collectors.
Entrance is to a side of a building and you immediately go up some narrow steps. There are two floors to this store and is one of two in Manhattan.
Rare limited edition comics for sale behind the counter for those that can afford them.
Best tip is there are Free comics to take at the entry/exit.
