Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was built as a apartment building and has been since it was constructed. It is an architectural marvel in many respects and well worth studying from the outside.

I went by this old apartment building just off Central Park and across from the Planetarium the other day after not having been here for many years. My grandmother lived in the building next door for many years when I was a teenager and young adult, so I was here often, but never took the time to notice the beauty of the Beresford. Check it out from the opposite side of 81st St. to get some perspective on it, from bottom to top.

This is a luxury apartment building that was built in 1929 and is one of the most prestigious addresses in New York with apartments selling from $3 million and up to an amazing $62 million. There was a hotel Beresford on this site up until 1899 and that's where the building gets its name from. This building does have a good architectural look about it and is well worth a few photos. Unfortunately I cant afford to live here.

This is a really wonderful hotel. The staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful. The rooms have been redone and are spacious and comfortable. The location is excellent and it's a quick walk to the theaters and great restaurants on 9th Avenue. I consider this hotel a real "find" in NYC and highly recommend it. Nice views from the upper floors. Just a classy, fun, NY kind of place. Loved it.

A very grand luxury apartment house on Central Park West. We walked past on our way to the Historical Society and there was a grand entrance with a doorman. From the park, the view is impressive.

This building is to the west of Central Park and it’s simply huge and imposing. Topped off with turrets at either end. I’m guessing it’s expensive!
