Can't recommend this enough as a perfect way to see Central Parc and the NY skyline, would thoroughly recommend doing this during daylight hours to get the best view of the parc and use the Empire State for a nighttime view. There is plenty of really interesting information about the build of the Centre prior to going up and the... More

Nice self guided tour top of the rock. Good place to get photos. Places to just relax. Grab good dinner downstairs, picture with Rockefeller Christmas tree.

This was the second time I have been to the observation area. Each time I see something more beautiful and interesting. The skyline is ever changing. The view of the park at different times of the year is lovely. Much easier way to see the skyline rather than the Empire State Building.

my daughter & I went on an All day tour of NYC (walking/subway) and this was one of the places we went to...the elevator was quick & not nauseating (which I thought it would be). the view was spectacular!

In my personal opinion I thought top of the rock was better than the Empire State. Better views & actually open top as it states when you get to the top no glass in the way. The gift shop was also reasonable. Views of Central Park were breath taking. Would love to go. Again next time in New York

The view of the city and surroundings is incredible. You can see it all, from a different perspective than any other place in the city. It is overloaded with tourists, but if you are mentally prepared for that going into it, you will be amazed by the view/ Tip: go at night Dress warm- there is cooler wind up top... More

Was able to reserve a spot from their website so did not have to wait in line. The previous night the line was over 100 people. So use the online booking.

It felt like being in Disney how they herd you from one line to another line; however, the view at the top was worth it, stunning. It was amazing to see the city at night, especially the Empire State Building.

A must do for a first timers to the city. Beautiful view, Rockefeller Center is a fun place to visit as well. Go early in the morning to miss a long wait.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
