Address
Neighbourhood: Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Was a good experience nice to do, excellent views at night, breathtaking
Visited 1st weekend of December 2021
Would be great if the Q system somehow at Xmas you walk past the tree for a close up view and photo opportunity

During this pandemic, new break out and at the time 5 cases in New York, why put 17 people in a lift over crowded, packed in like sardines, did not fill comfortable at all and for this did not fully appreciate the rock and what it has to offer

Also when at the top to come down why not use all lifts??

Enjoy and take care

Great views

Visited at night. Fantastic scenery. Lines tended to be shorter in the night hours. Highly recommended visit as the NY skyline is fantastic

Not worth a visit

Disappointed with this and very much preferred the view from the observatory tower instead! Not much to do here either

Absolute waste of two hours (95% of which spent in a line!!!)
Absolute waste of two hours (95% of which spent in a line!!!)

We booked tickets in advance for 4:45- 5:00. When we got there at 4:30, rude staff yelled at us to come back later and made sure we didn’t get in line minute before 4:45. We then spent over one hour and a half waiting in line. At 5:20 we finally entered the main lobby where we spent another 20 minutes in line. After that, we finally went up the elevator to get in another line to walk around the viewpoints. There was a second elevator to go up the final two floors but, you guessed it, another line to do that. We had other plans so decided to skip the final part and just joined the line to go back down. Had we known it would be two hours of lines to spend less than two minutes enjoying the view, we would have never done it! The staff kept being vague about the timings. There should be a big warning at the ticket office that says that you will get to the top one and a half hour after the actual time you book.

Don’t go
Dec. 2021 • Couples
This is not worth the money or the time.
The queues are horrendous. They are letting too many people in … it would be bad enough without a pandemic.
We (4 adults feel completely unsafe)
Some staff are nice and doing their best where others are extremely patronising and on some kind of power trip.
Don’t waste your money or time.
We have done lots of things whilst here, yes we queued but all had been worth it, well organised and enjoyable. THIS IS NOT!
We have chosen to not use the subway … and used taxi s and then stuck up The Top of the ***** Rock !

A MUST IN NYC
Dec. 2021
Top of the rock is a must-see if you go to NYC.
Its location allows the best view of the most emblematic skycrappers in town: the Empire State Building and the Liberty Tower.
Additionally, you may observe the city in full: Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, among others.
Which one of the observatory decks is better: Liberty Tower, ESB o TOR? All of them have unique singularities than makes them worth visiting.

Amazing views, poorly organised
Pre-booked tickets for this however when we arrived the queue was out of control with two lines, no idea which one to join and the attendant was very unhelpful and had no idea. Was told to go to the back of the line and wait. We stood for 10 minutes until I asked another attendant if this was the correct queue whilst showing him my tickets. He then said we didn’t have to queue and sent us straight through! Very unorganised and could have been waiting a long time if I hadn’t asked again. Views are stunning. Great experience, just let down by organisation at the bottom.

Incredible views of a fantastic city!
Just takes your breath away! Very easy to get up to the 'Top' and well worth it for the amazing views of an incredible city.
It really gives you a birds eye view of the determination and aspirations of the American people.
We would happily go again at a different time of year.
People and taxis below were like tiny ants!

I recommend!
The view is stunning, the price is considerable, but it is worth visiting this deck at least once in a lifetime. The flow of people I think is controlled because space is really enough for everyone.
