This is a lovely old theater in New York with comfortable seating and great acoustics. I think smaller than some of the others I’ve been in and that was a good thing, I saw “LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES” with Leiv Schreiber and loved it. Had to stand in line for ever as usual but it was worth it.

With such superb acting, amazing staging, which included fantastic lighting using real candles in the chandeliers, this was a truly extraordinary show. Liev Schreiber, Janet Mc Teer and the entire cast left us spellbound. What a rare and delicious treat this was. It has a limited engagement but it shouldn't be missed.

Was at Saturday's matinee and could not have been more satisfied. Liev Schreiber was superb and the charm of the Booth theatre was the perfect setting for this play. The stage, the candle lit chandeliers the angelic singing while changing scenes, the wardrobe,Liev's striking voice, the astounding dialogues, his mannerisms were Tony award material. The fact that a his performance... More

Booth theatre has cramped seating but the views are good anywhere in the Orchestra. Liev Scheiber is one of my favorite actors but I felt he wasn't deceitful enough acting in this role of the Vicomte. Janet Mcteer was outstanding. It could have been shorter and the love scenes were disappointing and lacked passion. The promo photo has more sex... More

Got half price tickets through tkts booth. Sean Hayes was excellent in this play based on the book 'The Last Testament: a Memoir by God'. The topical references got the biggest laughs, as did Hayes improvisations.

Came to see Sean Hayes Th his weekend in Act of God. This delightful one man show (plus 2 actually) is ending it's run soon but is a fun evening of comedy as Mr Hayes plays god and shares his updated Ten Commandments with his audience in the lovely Booth Theater just off Broadway. Lots of fun and a fast... More

A short 90 minute show which Sean Hayes was God giving a monologue about the new Ten Commandments. He had two angels as supporting cast members but Sean was the show. Holler laughing in your seat. Great show

Yesterday we saw An Act Of God at this 103 year old medium sized theater. We loved the show and laughed throughout Sean Hayes' performance, but the theater could use some help. We were seated in the last row of the mezzanine and my seat was on about a 30 degree angle. Thankfully, the theater was not full and the... More

This is where "An Act of GOD" is playing now, and why we were there. The seating was comfortable, standard theater seating. The play was a hoot and the dramatic staging was flawless. There is a desk off the lobby, to your right as you exit the seating, that serves as its "gift shop" selling T-shirts, key rings and one... More

We went into the city on a Saturday to see Sean Hayes in the "An Act of God". Basically, a one man show supported by two "angels". The show was both entertaining and funny. The theatre is smallish but the seats are comfortable enough.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
