Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thanks to the French Ambassador Dubois, we had the pleasure to discover this lovely house facing the « sublime «  private gardens at Gramercy place South. Delicious restaurant and a Chef of high quality. Interesting gallery for art shows.

I was pleased to show this beautiful building to my sister in law on her visit to NYC.. we only had a few hours to explore and I remembered this charming spot. (I'd attended an event here many years ago) To my delight, the gallery is open to the public and free of charge.
We enjoyed the many paintings on display. I believe they were all for sale as well.
Downstairs we're what seemed to be permanent installations of sculpture and paintings
The first floor salon is Members Only but there is plenty to see for the rest of us. We spent about an hour looking at the art presented upstairs and admiring the beautiful architecture throughout.
This is a gem hidden in plain site. Add it to your NYC walking plans one day , plenty of cafes nearby and an easy walk from transit.

The Samuel Tilden House is beautiful and historic itself. He won the popular vote for President but lost in the Electoral College. The public is allowed to see the club's galleries on the lower floor, a small collection but including some significant artists' work. Watch for the angel by Salvador Dali. With all the great museums in New York, I wouldn't put it on a must-see list, but it makes an great stop in a neighborhood worth seeing.

Three of four galleries were open (the following week the other would also have an exhibition). A quiet place across from lovely Gramercy Park. Some exhibits are from Club members. Others are guest artists. We saw 3 shows, two from members, the other from a French photographer. All interesting.

This lovely find has furniture that is heavily brocaded, resplendant of the past Victorian times and is also decorated with lovely artifacts and stained glass. I was lucky enough to have the oppportunity to visit here.

Small gallery located in a brownstone in a quiet neighborhood. The man by the reception is kind of arrogant and is definitely not the friendliest.

I like everything about the National Arts Club:
- the interior full of antique artworks that makes some mystical atmosphere, and new ones that keep you in touch with contemporary arts
- their various activities: music and painting, dancing and fashion, photography and sculpture, meetings with artists and prominant people from around the world
- the food is great, the bar is cozy, the staff is professional and friendly
Just adore that place! Happy had a chance to stay there for a few times!

"Manhattan murder mystery" was filmed here. If you are to cross the door, you can watch the Gramercy Park like Woody Allen
