Perfect for history lovers, this tour of the historical Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in Lower Manhattan invites you into the catacombs, allowing you to see its pipe organ and venture to parts of the building that are normally closed to visitors. This should have been a great experience. Unfortunately, as many of the other reviewers noted, the piano players spend most of the time soliciting tips. They actually start to play a song and if someone offers more money, they stop in the middle of the song and change to a new song. During the 2 hours we were there I don't think I heard a single song from start to finish. Shame, should be a great place, but it feels more like a touristy shakedown joint.

First off, you need to purchase tickets for seating. 2 tix on-line came to $49. Then the waitress asks for a credit card to “hold” while you’re there, and when the bill comes the already “included” a 20% gratuity, and had the guts to leave a line for “additional gratuity!” Nowhere on their site do they say they do this. Now on to the entertainment. Very entertaining but completely motivated by greed. Someone gives them $20 (yes, 20 dollars) and requests a song. What do the musicians do? They tell the audience that they have to play this “bad” song unless someone gives them more than $20!!! And this goes on ALL NIGHT LONG. We were just there last night and every single thing I’m telling you is true.

Hi Bill. First, we want to thank you for attending our long-running, sold-out show. Now, to your comments (and title...) The show runs for 3+, nonstop hours, for which, your tickets were just $24.50 each. That's a lower per-hour charge than most movies, for live entertainment. In the realm of live events, our ticket price is among the lowest priced shows, not just in Times Square, but anywhere in New York. The included gratuity is standard, in ANY live entertainment/cabaret venues, ANYWHERE. It's how our hard-working bartenders and servers make their well-deserved living, for providing the excellent service that they render for our 150+ guests every week. The additional gratuity line is there, on every check, for every table, in every restaurant, anywhere you go in New York, and elsewhere, because believe it or not, some people believe that great service might deserve an additional bit of recognition. This is, of course, absolutely optional, and always appreciated. We appreciate you taking the time to mention that the show was "very entertaining". As to 'greed', bless your heart. Our performers play 75+ songs every night, and as part of the fun, we allow our guests not only to select those songs they sing along to, but those songs they want to change. We're there EVERY night, and every single thing I'm telling you is true.

I'll start with the pros: - Everyone gets a seat - Performers knew a lot of songs - You can get up and dance if you want to Cons: - Unnecessarily loud. It's not a large venue, but the microphone were very loud and the MC literally kept yelling into the mic. WHY. - Price gouging. On top of paying for your table and a 2 drink minimum, you have to pay to request a song. And, your song can be trumped by someone paying more money to stop your song. So you can pay $20, the performers start your song, and someone pays $21 and they start playing their song. The whole night felt like a ploy to line their pockets. - They changed a lot of the words to make juvenile jokes (including references to Weinstein and Epstein) - This was less about playing piano and more about trying to get the audience to pay money, clap their hands, etc. Bottom line is if you want an interactive performance with jokes, lyric changes, etc. this is the spot for you. But if you want to hear musicians play songs on piano, Id go elsewhere.

Hi - thanks for coming to our sold out show! After reading your review, we wanted to send a quick note. Many of the issues you raised are entirely the point of a Dueling Pianos show - it is NOT supposed to be a concert, but rather a PARTY. It is meant to be 100% interactive, where the crowd is as much a part of the show as we are. Clapping along, singing along, dancing along...all the things you mentioned, are the very point of the show, not a negative byproduct. We're sorry if you weren't clear about what Dueling Pianos is, or were looking for more of a concert environment. That's definitely NOT what our show is. Now, as to your comment about 'price gouging'. Again, there seems to be some confusion about piano bar etiquette. At ANY piano bar, ANYWHERE in the world, when you request a song, you tip the piano player. That's how they make their living. That's not something unique to our event. Hopefully this can clear up any confusion. Thanks again!

We stopped here and reserved a table for 6 and it was one of the best nights in Vegas. The entertainment was amazing, drinks were cold and reasonably priced. If you rent a table you don’t have to stand and fight for a good view and the waiters are on top of their game. It cost about $20 to get your song played first but it’s well worth it. They play it all and go all night long.

Highly recommend this show. Mark and Sean do their best to get the crowd involved and once things get started the party and sing-along begins. Mark was very gracious when an error was made with our VIP seating and went above and beyond to make sure all was right again. The show is highly entertaining and these 2 guys are really talented. Yes it's R rated, yes they work hard for their tips and yes your song might get cut off if someone out tips you but that's what's makes it that much more entertaining. Thanks for a great evening. We'll be back.

Hi Eric! Thanks so much for the kind review! We try to be 100% accurate with our reservation system, but when those rare miscommunications occur with our ticketing agents, we want to make sure our customers are happy. We apologize again for the inconvenience to your group, and we're thrilled you enjoyed the show! We look forward to having you back with us again soon, and your front row seats will be waiting!
