I've been away for too long. Used to know all the dancers in the Co. New faces, new generation. I attended a performance of Sleeping Beauty last Sunday. The production is beautiful, faithful to Petipa. Full of dancing children. The audience was full of Little Ballerinas and Princes. All well behaved. They were laughing at the Second Act fairy Tell... The dancers are outstanding, the scenery minimal, but appropriate. Enjoyed the three Balanchine pieces enormously.

Well choreographed with three different types of ballet dances. The theatre was very nice too! Definitely worth going if you want a great night out with art and dance! Ticket was around 65 dollars - cheaper than in Sydney!

We went to see the NYC Ballet perform The Nutcracker on Christmas Eve. The theatre was beautiful. The talented dancers were fantastic and an absolute pleasure to watch. It was great to be able to see the orchestra in front of the stage. Seating was comfortable and food and drinks were available in the foyer. A lovely experience from start... More

Everything about going to NYCB is perfection - your surroundings, with enormous diamonds glittering on the walls of the theater, the live orchestra that is visible at the front just below the stage, the costumes, the sets, and especially the dancers. Seeing the Nutcracker in December is a holiday tradition for me and my family that I recommend for all,... More

We saw the Nutcracker on Christmas Eve to a sold out crowd. The theater is beautiful and they have plenty of bar/drink areas to manage the crowd.

The Nutcracker. What a beautiful ballet! A Christmas delight. Act 1 aimed more at capturing the children in the audience. Act 2 was spectacular for oldies like me & my twenty something daughter. It was a costly experience for me though. BUYER BEWARE of buying tickets from Stubhub! I paid $US250 in total in mid November for what I thought... More

We enjoyed the Nutcracker by the New York City Ballet! I have a big suggestion to the NYCB, you really should allow people to take pics with your Nutcracker ballerina! I understand you charge for this pose, but you really should allow people to use their own cameras/phones (after spending $75.00 + up for a ticket) who wants to spend... More

We went to see The NYCB's production of The Nutcracker as we wanted to enjoy a genuine NYC Christmas tradition. Despite the fact that the only available seats that didn't cost more than a small home deposit were in the fourth tier, we weren't put off, as we'd read that seats in the gods were good for appreciating the action... Ballet may not be everyone's choice for theatre, but the NYC Ballet is a great place to start, in large part because the building itself has so many great sight lines available, with the balconies considered better than orchestra seating. We took in "The Nutcracker," which was beautifully executed, although the first act was long and rather dull. Amazingly, the... More
