What a fun section of the city! There are loads of interesting shops/boutiques and some of the best eateries in the city can be found here. It feels "local" with some many young professionals settling in West Village.

Such a nice walk in the area, lots to take in. Beautiful brownstones, shops, and restaurants. SATC - Carries apartment is here, a touch disappointing but the Friends apartment is cool to see. You'll know your there from the crowds.

Most tourists congregate around Mid town, Times Square and the theatre district; This is more a community than the superficiality and business of midtown and uptown - a people atmosphere rather than high rise and expensive shopping. An easy place to relax and enjoy.

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you
