Book of Morman ROCKS - theater is pretty, but tight
We saw The Book of Mormon and loved the show - it was fantastic! The theater is small and tight. The bathroom and concession lines were so long that half of the people were unable to take care of business before intermission was over. The theater is VERY cold so be sure to dress warmly - but you'll be touching your neighbors while seated so they will keep you warm some, too :)

    Pretty Theatre
Theatre itself is gorgeous. Ornate architecture that reminds me of my youth and the hope and promise that was America in the early 20th century. The play we saw was scatological silly toilet bowl humor that reflects how far America has fallen in the 21st century. Laughing gas for the brain dead masses.

Book of Mormon is Terrific. Classic New York Broadway Theater.
We saw the Book of Mormon here. Great show and terrific performance. This is a classic New York Broadway theater which means that seats are tight without a lot of leg room but also not a bad seat in the house for views of the stage. Order drinks for intermission before the show to avoid standing in line.

    Beautiful theater
We saw Book of Mormon here. It's a beautiful theater, the ceiling especially. We sat in row C in the 3 end seats. The seats were considered restricted view and in my opinion were a great deal. I was in the end seat and I thought the view was very good. There were a few brief moments when I couldn't see action in the back right side of the stage, but most of the show was at the front of the stage and we had an excellent view of the performers.

    Great show, cramped seating
We saw Book of Mormon which was amazing however the 3 star rating is due to the seating. Seating is very cramped, I'm 6'2" and it was pretty uncomfortable - there is very little room between the seats, they are small and very low to the ground. Otherwise the theatre is centrally located and staff were very friendly and efficient.

    The Book Of Mormon
For my first ever Broadway show, I knew I wanted to see something with universal acclaim and it doesn’t get more universally lauded than The Book Of Mormon. Despite it running for well over 10 years, this show still packs in the crowds. I was able to get a second row, left front orchestra seat for less than $120. This seat location was superb and I was sitting close enough to see the sweat on the performers’ brows. Although, as other reviewers have said, the Eugene O’Neill Theatre is on the smaller side so I would imagine anywhere in the house would provide a great view. Arrive early, as the rows are pretty cramped and you don’t want to have to squeeze by people to get to your seat last minute. You must understand the humor of Matt Stone and Trey Parker if you plan to see The Book Of Mormon, otherwise you are in for a rude awakening. That being said, the show was hilarious and I had a wonderful experience.

Went to see “the Book of Mormon” here (which was great) but the theatre was terrible. Long line at the bar and when finally served was charged $30 dollars for two sodas. I had seats in the amphitheatre which made airline economy seats seem roomy. They honestly need to put a disclaimer when buying tickets. The poor tall, big guy next to me was in actual pain. Also, during intermission you need to choose whether you want another drink or go to the bathroom because their is no way both can be achieved before the show recommences.

This theatre is so uncomfortable that it actually makes it hard to enjoy the show.

Went to see Book of Mormon here on 29th December. We were Allocated seats in row J of the rear mezzanine and as I am 6’5 tall, I could not even fit into the seat , let alone sit there for 2 Hours watching the show. I was ready to leave before the show had even started when the manager asked us why we were leaving . Once we explained our situation, she was fantastic and organised two chairs for my wife and I that were placed in one of the public walkways so that we could watch the show . She even gave us a couple of complimentary drinks vouchers by way of an apology...... excellent service! The show itself was brilliant ..... very funny and one of the best shows I have seen in years but would suggest you check the seat plan online before booking your tickets as this is a small theatre and the seats have very little legroom.

We visited the Eugene O'Neill theatre for a Thanksgiving weekend performance of The Book of Mormon. The show was excellent, especially if you're a fan of comedy! The theatre itself is on the smaller side, which is probably a good thing since there are really no "bad seats" in the house. Tickets for this show can be ridiculously expensive, so we purchased tickets that were labeled as "obstructed view" at a more down-to-Earth price. We knew the seats wouldn't be that bad after reading reviews on a "seat review" website. Sure enough, our seats were actually great! We did not think they were obstructed view at all. We had a railing in front of us, but we could see the stage in full sitting in our seats "normally." The theatre staff seemed to be organized with checking for vaccine proof, which is the current NYC rule. We did not purchase any concessions so I cannot comment on that, from what we heard, they are very expensive (as are many things in NYC). I personally was not "wowed" by this theatre. It's cute, but not really memorable. I've been to nicer theatres in NYC and elsewhere. The reason to go here is for the show, not for the theatre itself.

We went to The Book of Mormon last night. Amazing musical but be warned....dont pick seats 101-103 row J. We had ABSOLUTELY NO LEGROOM! I am 5'4" and my knees were crammed in. My friend who is 5'9" and just had hip surgery had the aisle seat. Not only she couldn't fit her legs in her feet actually wouldn't fit. She had to sit either sideways with her legs hanging in the aisle or we sat on the flipped up seat becaise it afforded us a little extra legroom and we could see over the heads of the tall people in front of us. We loved the play but the theatre should eliminate the first 3 seats on the aisle of the last row. Or sell them to anyone under 5' tall only.

We were in New York fro several days to see the city. The theater is beautiful. We saw the Book of Mormon.
There is not a bad seat in the theater IMO because it is a small theater with great lighting
The reason why I know this .. we bought 137$ tickets in row H orchestra. The view was phenomenal….
BUT I only was able to tolerate the view for the 20 minutes before the show.
I am a plus sized woman- bigger hips about a size 24. I could squeeze into the seat but it was so tight that within 3 minutes it was painful to sit in the seat bc of the width of my thighs. I am 250lbs. I don’t understand how people bigger than me tolerated sitting in their seat for the show. I wish I knew this prior or
1) I would have bought box seats that her stand alone chairs and seemed to be a bit wider
2) may not have gone

- what I will tell you is that I spoke up to an usher and said I was too big for me seat and was their an alternative. When they realized how good my seats were and that I was not trying to get a better seat, they told me that they could give me a stand alone seat in the walkway in the mezzanine section
I was sad that my view was not the 137$ I paid for, but I could still see everything but had to be separated from my group to watch the show

Again, had I known this fact I may not have bought the tickets and certainly not for the price I did for a seat I couldn’t use.
I am posting this not to complain bc the show was phenomenal, but to make sure that others are aware of this fact before they book a ticket.

Below is my original seat that I was interested able to use. All the regular non box seats are this narrow.

Attended to see the Book of Mormon. Well organised line to get in, shown efficiently to seats by pleasant staffer. Seats narrow and less than comfortable (or maybe we are a bit bony). Attractively decorated auditorium. Surprised to see so many people paying $30 for 2 sodas, and then complaining. Simple and very British solution, don't pay the bar prices (not that we would suggest taking your own sodas into the theatre). Remember you are not cattle there to be milked - if you want our money, best hold us up by our ankles, and shake.

For what was suppose to be a fun filled theater experience turned out to be painful and very disappointing. For one reason...the seats are beyond cramped. If you have ANY leg issues do not attend this theater. It made Spirit Airlines seats look roomy !! I am not that tall ..5' 11" and my knees were so cramped I was in pain for half of the show. The show itself was great.....quality actors and theatrics.

We saw the "Book of Mormon" at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre during our New York City visit and loved this venue. Our seats were in the orchestra area with a partial view but they were still very good seats. Everyone we came into contact, working in the theatre, was friendly and helpful. During March 2022 we had to wear masks and show our vaccine cards (not sure if this is still the case). Definitely worth seeing a performance in this lovely venue.

Whilst visiting NYC we decided to go see The Book of Mormon. On arrival there were strict rules with masks even when sitting down and sipping a drink I found I got spoken to by staff saying to put my mask up from my chin which was only lowered when drinking. I understand it's for safety but in England once sat down it is now ok to remove them and just seemed a little backwards. The show was amazing I can't recommend it enough. The issue I had was the drink prices. 2 bottles of water and 2 sippy cups of wine (supposedly containing half a bottle in each) come to a total of $62! Let that sink in. I am aware of NYC prices but come on!

I really liked this theater. The seats were comfortable and high enough that the person in front of you would not obstructive your view. They have two entrances in case people have mobility issues. There is no elevator, it’s one of the older theaters. We saw the book of Mormon and it was fabulous.
