The Golf Club at Chelsea Piers, Manhattan's only multi-tiered, year-round...

The Golf Club at Chelsea Piers, Manhattan's only multi-tiered, year-round outdoor driving range, offers the unique opportunity to hit full shots, practice putting and take lessons from top golf professionals. Located on a scenic Hudson River pier, this four-tiered "super-range" features a 200-yard fairway, a full-service teaching academy, Full Swing simulators, and a membership program for frequent golfers. No buckets of golf balls here! The Golf Club's driving range uses a Computee RC20000 series automatic ball tee-up system designed by Sunaga Kihatsu of Japan. Purchase a ball card, insert it into your hitting stall's card reader, and golf balls begin to tee-up.

Very nice driving range on 4 floors, a bit crowded at times, but good serviced. The Golf Academy is outstanding, video analysis, great teachers and nice atmpsphere. Open until midnight.

Pricey! On the waterfront. Lot of waiting. Variety of different prices from $25-150 depending on what you do. Rental of clubs separate from $4-12 depending on the number of clubs. Multi-floor, but not an upscale facility. Wait from 30 minutes to hour(s). One time experience unless you are an avid golfer!

The driving range is so much fun! The view is gorgeous and I absolutely love how he balls come up on the tee automatically! Not too bad from a cost perspective for the time you can spend! Loved it!

Tried this out on a whim and was not disappointed. I had never been to a driving range so I didn't know what to expect. The gent at the desk was very friendly and helpful. The whole transaction was quick and smooth. The views were amazing and the overall experience was non-intimidating and actually very relaxing. I recommend it to... More

What can be bad about hitting golf balls over the Hudson River. The club is very well organized, well priced, and a fun experience. One key recommendation: bring your own clubs. The rental drivers we used were beat up and in horrible shape. The staff told me they are rented and used by a lot of people who have no... More

I loved this place even though I am not a golfer. The service people were very nice. Had to wait 40 minutes to try the driving range but the Pier had many other activities to see while we waited. They have a text message system to let you know 15 minutes beforehand for when your booth is ready. The big... More

Only driving range in Manhattan. I've taken a few classes here and they've been satisfactory. Beautiful place to come out to when the sun is setting and the weather is good, hitting balls toward the Hudson. They are organized here. Be sure to schedule in advance.

We had a wonderful time after we were rested rudely by the front desk. It's too bad this man had such a negative attitude toward the patrons which were paying top dollar.

This was on the bucket list while visiting NYC and to give me a break from the shopping etc on the High Line. The automatic ball setup is brilliant, although not really for left-handers... Not cheap, as mentioned, but surely you wouldn't expect that in Manhattan, hitting out along a pier?! Really enjoyed this on a sunny afternoon. Peak time... More
