- Sherry SLincoln, Nebraska50 contributions"Sweeney Todd" at the Lunt Fontaine.Seeing a Broadway show was long on my bucket list. "Sweeney Todd" starring Josh Groban was simply a stellar experience. The theater was an intimate size, making our seats really feel up close to the stage. We could see the facial expressions of the actors quite well. I was surprised at the small size of the theater, as our performing-arts theater at home (Lincoln, NE) was easily four times the size of the Lunt Fontaine, but again, this made for a great viewing experience. I highly recommend a Broadway performance to everyone!Visited September 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 20 September 2023

Sweeney Todd did the best priced ticket and with a good view. But I was happy because I wanted to see Sweeney Todd all along! All I can say is positive things about the show! I loved it and so did my partner! The lead characters were fantastic! And just to top it off we had no idea Gaten Matarazzo was in it so that was certainly a surprise! The cast came out of the stage door at the end to do autographs and photos and I thought they were all so polite and friendly! The theatre was well organised! Staff were very helpful and friendly and the seats were comfortable with a great view! Would love to come again!Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 30 September 2023
- blanchland6 contributionsSweeney Todd, Wow!Went to see Sweeney Todd on the 19/10. This was an exceptional show! Me and my daughter were blown away. Casting, acting, singing and comedy timing were superb. Cast came to the stage door afterwards to sign playbills. They were all so friendly and the icing on the cake was getting to meet Gaten Materazzo this man is truly talented. Gaten even took the time to take a selfie with my daughter a moment she will always treasure! What a lovely guy, Thanks Gaten!!Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 26 October 2023
- a74429Fort Worth, Texas178 contributionsGood theater - great show (Sweeney)The theater is a traditional Broadway theater, currently running Sweeney Todd. I found the seats to be a bit narrow, and at 6’3” my knees were pressed into the seat in front of me. Skip the bar line upstairs and head downstairs. You’ll find the bathrooms on this lower level and a much shorter bar line. Drinks were rather pricy… the couple in front of me bought 2 doubles and it was $70 before tip. Stage and lighting were fantastic, and the slope of the orchestra seating made for great stage viewingVisited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 12 November 2023

Really nice theatre, good access to the stage from all seats. Bar at the back of the auditorium, reasonably pricesVisited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 4 December 2023

Staff were all so nice and helpful from the person outside directing people to the people taking tickets to ushers and to bartenders. They made it is a great experienceVisited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 12 January 2024

- Seana WCambridge, United Kingdom16 contributionsPerformance great/bar drinks eye-watering pricesWonderful production of Sweeny Todd. Great seats purchased that morning from the box office rush seats at 10 am. However, the double gin and tonic my friend and myself ordered cost as much as the tickets. With the tip, nearly £100 for two drinks! I wish I had known how expensive the bar was. I felt stupid and it took away some enjoyment of the show. Be warned- the bar prices are astronomical.Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 16 February 2024
- scotland89London, United Kingdom156 contributionsExcellent performance of Sweeney ToddBeautiful theatre with good view, sound dynamic and staging. Performances from actors excellent. Visitors from U.K. should be mindful that experience is different in US theatres. Audience claps all way through which must put actors off ( they did have to pause mid song at 2 points). Also many of the audience rushed out before the final bow which was disrespectful and off putting. Theatre should maybe tell people to wait before leaving seats before production ends? Bar prices are high and service expected too.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 7 March 2024
- Chris A.Providence, Rhode Island473 contributionsGreat Theater For a Show (Sweeney Todd)Theater was nice outside and inside. Saw Sweeney Todd here in May during the final weekend. Seating was quick and efficient. Sound was good but not too loud. Temperature was ideal and staff mostly friendly and helpful. As with most theaters, bathrooms and bar were chaotic during intermission, but that’s common with theaters built in the early 1900s. Leaving was a bit tough since the stage door was not far from the entrance/exit and there were a lot of people waiting so exiting the theater was a bit slow. Sadly the show ended on May 5 but I’d definitely see another show here in the future. Also, it’s right across the street from the Marriott where we stayed so it was extremely close.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 May 2024

Great theatre, great location and amazing performance just a shame a few of the staff members ruined the experience with a mask requirement considering there are no mask requirements in the rest of the country. Ruined the experience as we weren’t allowed to eat or drink without the mask on. Staff checking if masks were worn were rude and unnecessary. Wouldn’t recommend until they get rid of the mask requirement

Saw Tina Turner show. The young lady who played Tina actually outplayed Tina . She was beyond amazing . Probably the best musical I’ve seen in 30 years . Great music, great plot, and fabulous star! I have felt for along time that the broadway shows have depended on glitz rather than substance . This show had it all ! Wow and Wow. Throw out the substandard Loyd Weber garbage . This show was amazing

I went to this theater to see the musical about Tina Turner and it was mind blowing. I love the second part of the show because its more like a concert than a show. I had amazing time and i hope to see a good musical like this one very soon.

Been in this theater for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Tina The Musical and Sweeney Todd... and it's one of my favorite venues. There is no going wrong when choosing a seat. The current production of Sweeney Todd is a must see!

Bonjour,

Did you park at a garage near this theater ? Going to see the show on April 14th. Glad to hear you liked it. I can't find a garage with decent reviews. Thus guess I will take NJ Transit.

Did you drive in into NYC to see this show ? I am going on April 14. can't decide if I want to drive or take NJ Transit. Can't find a parking garage with good reviews.

Hi, I did not drive. Plenty of parking opportunities close by, but I’d take the train and subway. Brings you almost to the door! But may take longer to get home!

Hi, cecelia. What would you like to know about this attraction? Which seats did you have?
Written 11 December 2017
Hey. We have tickets for a show at 7:30pm on a Monday evening. Does anyone know how soon we should arrive before it starts to get in in good time? Thanks.
Written 18 June 2017
They move people in very quickly so five to ten minutes before the show starts should be fine, unless you need to use the woman's bathroom, which will take you forever.

Is there a pre show tour of theater. Going to see Charlie and with grandkids on May 14
Written 5 May 2017
As with Nancy, not that I know of, but you should check with the theater directly. And enjoy the show as I will be seeing it a week later.

We have been to this theatre several times and I don't recall them offering one. You might want to contact them to be sure. The show is amazing and your grandkids will love it. Enjoy the show.

Honestly, I do not know. I utilized the restrooms downstairs.
