We went to see Momix perform and wasn't sure what to expect from the venue nor the show. Both were awesome. The Joyce is has a wonderful vibe with a big stage. Not sure there is a bad seat in the entire house. The seats...More

Contemporary dance at the Joyce theater Always an extraordinary experience at the Joyce. We are members and travel from New Jersey at least once a month, sometimes more to see the wonderful dance companies that the Joyce theater presents. Small theater, great performances.

For dance that will delight your senses, this venue has it all. We saw Rioult last evening and loved every minute of the modern dances performed. Other troupes gather here to perform. Check the listings, go and enjoy.

The Joyce brings in top (mostly contemporary) dance companies at top form. The venue is perfect for viewing dance (intimate) yet big enough to allow for some expansive choreography. Their sound system desperately needs to be improved though as the music is always too loud...More
