Our tour guide was Jonathan, he was outstanding, he certainly knew his stuff and was also very entertaining by remembering all the visitors countries they came from. Although he needs to brush up on his one liners, lots of Dad jokes.... Choosing this tour was an option to kill some time as access to the Top of the Rock are... More

This tour takes you around various buildings in the whole Rockefeller Plaza complex, mainly outside but also inside a couple of the buildings with murals on the walls. The history of the Rockefeller family is fascinating, from the original 'Mr Burns' in the Simpsons to Nelson Rockefeller's wife, whose taste in modern art rarely coincided with her husband's family's.

My husband and I have worked and lived in either NYC or the metro area for 20+ years--and honestly, would never think of taking a "tourist" tour of the "tourist-y" Rockefeller Center. I mean, that's what tourists do, right? Well, I'm so glad we did! The experience was definitely worth the price of admission and I'd recommend to anyone interested... More

I figured this would be one of those boring lets-just-get-through-this tours. Boy was I wrong. I learned so much AND was thoroughly entertained. Jonathan is a consummate professional. Effective, efficient, entertaining, and personable. After introducing himself personally to each guest, he remembered where each of us were from and would interact with us throughout the tour. Whenever I'd answer a... More

As a lover of history, I was enthralled by all I learned during this tour. Even if you don't love history, you won't want to miss this tour. We saw so much of Rockefeller Center and we wouldn't have been able to do it on our own. Jonathon led us through the Center's many buildings with a subtle sense of... More

We took the tour in addition to the Top of the Rock viewing decks access, with our New York Pass and were treated to a thoroughly informative and highly entertaining trip round our favourite New York architectural gem, led by Brooks. He has a very engaging delivery and an encyclopaedic knowledge of the history of the complex, the characters who... More

Enjoyed the guided tour around Rockefeller Plaza that explains about Rockefeller Sr and Jr. The history, the art, the architecture, the inside stories were so interesting. These are things that you surely won't know if you walk around on your own. Book the tour guys, highly recommended!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
