Whenever we are in NYC, we try to attend Birdland. Make a reservation and enjoy nice jazz-performers while enjoying a great dinner - or just a drink or two....

After spending my childhood singing, "Lullaby of Birdland" with the radio, we finally made it there to see the Armstrong Eternity Band. Friendly staff greeted us at the door and we noticed that almost all the tables are 'good'. However, the next time I think...More

I visited NYC by myself last week and wanted to experience a jazz night. Birdland was definitely the answer to it. I love the ambience there. Such a wonderful evening and I'd definitely come back again.

It (David Ostwald's Louis Armstrong Eternity Band) remains good, but continues to get smaller and more expensive. Bria Skonberg is the glue that holds this group together, yet her sultry singing has been minimized for maximum band exposure and she is still the best of...More

We sat at the front of the raised section, at the bar end of the venue and it was fine. It's a bit like Ronnie Scotts in size so there aren't really any "bad" seats for the enjoyment of the music.
