Gorgeous fountain with lots of stone benches for sitting and resting. Nice park sculpture and water treatment, the best of Central Park.

This fountain, as the name suggests, is in Bethesda Terrace overlooking the ramble and the lake in Central Park. A fairly ornate statue at the top of the fountain and in this central part of the park there is always something going on.

I've wanted to visit this fountain ever since seeing it in Sex and the City years and years ago. It was lovely, but, as it was freezing cold, it probably lacked the atmosphere it would have in the summer. Oh well, just an excuse to...More

An iconic location that was beautiful to see. Loved people watching and listening to musicians play for tips.

I very much enjoyed the views all around and behind the statue. The lake with all the boaters brings more beauty to it. The fountain is in the lower end of the park and also has bathrooms nearby.

This is an especially scenic area of Central Park. The fountain wasn't on for some reason while we were there, maybe for maintenance or something. Still... it was very beautiful!

Remembering seeing it in movies, it is just like I thought it was, beside a bassin were you can do rowing.

Hi! I agree with the previous answers. A place to be visited in the daylight I would say. I don't know the times it is turned on as the times I visited it it was on. By the way, I was there early in the morning once and... More
