Next to the Flat Iron Building, this park meets almost every need, any time of day. In Summer, there are activities galore, from unique art works to activities for children. Shake Shack is there to feed the hungry. Or else pop across the road to Eataly for a takeaway lunch and come back to a bench enjoy it. On hot... More

We sat and drank morning coffee while people watching. It was great. The afternoon held a public yoga practice.

Best burgers, fries and ice creams! And apart from that, they have squirrels running through the park!! Across the road from the Flatiron building. Love visiting this area whenever I am in NY.

Visited this park last year and loved it. This year we used the park loads as it was right near our hotel. Over the road from the flat iron it is at a busy junction but once inside the park you forget the noise and where it is. Great for people watching, we saw wedding pictures being taken on a... More

Another nice park in New York City. So nice to have these dotting the city and provides a respite from the concrete canyons of skyscrapers.

I just love all the parks in NYC. They really incorporate them into the busy city. This particular park has the added benefit of having Shake Shack within it. A place to rest during your sightseeing, enjoy the sun and just enjoy the amazing city..

Oh my goodness. We fell in love with this park. We thought we had visited all the major spots in NYC through the years. Obviously, we missed this special area. From the big and small dog parks, to the live music, shake shack And beautiful flowers. Wow. What a treat!

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
