Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

To be experienced during the day, especially at the weekend. Much enjoyed by locals who meet for typical oriental games such as Chinese blackberry. The atmosphere is Asian and you really feel transported away from NY.

The Columbus Park is located in Chinatown with plenty of trees, benches and open space. However, It was kind of crowded and the maintenance wasn’t too good.
There was lots of trash and the smell was terrible. We tried to have our take out there since dining in was not allowed during COVID-19, but the environment was too gross to eat. We ended up having our lunch in the car.
It would be good to take a short walk but we won’t recommend to stay long there.

This is not really a park you’d go out of your way to visit. Instead, it is mostly a space for people who live in that area. It has a basketball court and playground and not a lot of greenery. What makes it somewhat interesting is that it is in the area of the infamous Five Points that was a dangerous and very impoverished area in the past.

The place is nice but there are a lot of kids around there. Obviously, there is a park but if you want to chill over there it’s up to you.
On the other hand, there are a lot of benches to relax and tables to eat or play some card games or chess. It’s the typical movie place.
Also it is the middle point from china town and little Italy so, If you want to relax and eat something. This is the park.

Went here for my morning workout for a week.
The facilities are basic, but the atmosphere is just wonderful, People doing Kung Fu, bodyweight exercises, playing basket or training with swords.. you see it all here,
Plenty of good bars for a simple workout, and the park itself is beautiful

This chinatown park mimics many of the parks I’ve enjoyed in China. Old musicians playing old tunes as other old people fill the local park benches. Tables of women playing cards and laughing. Men gathered around intense games of Go and Cards. A few children but mostly older people catching up with their friends and neighbors. It is very Chinese but tucked into Manhattan just opposite the Criminal Courts buildings. It is well worth a stroll and a sit down to listen and watch.

This is a small park in Manhattan, NY that is in the center of iconic neighborhoods like Chinatown and Little Italy. It's also nearby City Hall.

If you are visiting Chinatown and wanted to sit for a while, enjoy(you dont have a choice) asian street performances or just stare at hundreds of small ticket gamblers, chinese checker players - then this is the place.
Nothing special about this place and nothing bad either..

We walked through this park in New York City's Chinatown, stopping periodically to watch the many mainly older Asian people talking, playing cards and just generally socializing on a warm Summer afternoon. I recommend it highly, especially if you live in a place where there are few Asians, just to see another part of the diversity that makes up this great city. You could think you were in Beijing, where we saw parks with the same gatherings of people all of which very much resembled Columbus Park. There are many very good and very authentic Asian restaurants nearby. Stop by Columbus Park if you are in Chinatown.
