My sister and I did a 2 hour private tour a few weeks ago. After 12 days in New York my sister and I are still saying this with the number one thing we did.
Central Park is just gorgeous, there is so much to...More
We took this tour based on the recommendations on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. Tony was friendly and professional. We learned a lot of history and came away feeling like this was very worthwhile. There are parts of the park that we never would...More
We spent the morning with the wonderful Tony. He’s full of knowledge, stories & history and takes iou to off-the-beaten path spots (in addition to popular spots. We toured from 9am-noon and had a great time with my 14 year old daughter, and my sister....More

We loved every minute of our tour of Central Park with Tony. He has a wealth of knowledge about the park and the city, and gave us plenty of time to stop when we wanted to enjoy the sites and take pictures.
Great way to see the park. Well organised bike routes, mostly one-way tracks. Given a good map when you get your bike, plus comfy helmets (& basket is extra). Approx 6 miles around the park. ‘The Great Hill’ is not challenging but pleasant work out.
We arranged a 2hr private tour mainly due to our, although active, 70yo mum. Our guide was fantastic, informative and patient.
We did the tour on the Memorial Day holiday and the Park was closed to public traffic, although we were told by our guide...More
It was a crisp January day blue sky’s and a great tour round Central Park

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

The bikes you are talking about are called rickshaws or pedicabs. These are pedal-operated carriages that may take up to three people. Your guide will be pedaling you around the park and will be telling you about the highlights and the history of Central park. There are several designated stops where you can hop off, look around and take pictures. The pedicab talking head tours are quite flexible in time, distance and locations you can visit.
If you still can't imagine what a pedicab looks like, please check out gallery at biketourscentralpark. com/gallery
Best wishes and enjoy your holiday in New York City!
