As we walked through this shop trying to decide what candy to buy, we went down stairs and saw the Belgium chocolate fountain. They were out of strawberries, so we bought Rice Krispy treats and had them dunked in chocolate. It was a fabulous treat, and they only cost $2 each. I would highly recommend it!

The shop itself is fun, but a lunch visit to the cafe was dreadful. Waiting 50 minutes for food, when most items on the menu were unavailable- initially told they had run out of chicken , then once 4 of 5 of our party were served our 12 year old was still waiting and was brought chicken! Sounds petty but... More

I love love love this place! It smells so good and I love that they play candy themed music. The staff seem to really like working there. We were a little disappointed that we couldn't eat in the café as there was a 2 hour wait, but now we know to make reservations for next time!

Chili dark chocolate is my favorite in this shop. Many different styles are available, such as birthday cake chocolate, potatochips chocolate, rocky road chocolate..... very interesting. The shop is colourful and sweet.

We went to Dylan's Candy Bar on Dec 27th. I had a reservation for the cafe for 6:30. We arrived early and shopped the store. Tons of candy, which the kids loved. There is fudge downstairs and it's very very good! The Cafe however, was not a good experience. They sat us in a cupcake booth, which looks cute from... More

We went to buy candies on dec 24th at 12:30pm. We took 4 items that had a price tag of 4$ each. Ie total of 16$ plus tax. When we went to pay the employee there told us that the total was 20.69$. When we asked why 4x4$=16$, plus tax would be ~17$ and she was asking for 20.69$, the... More

Wow! This place is ridiculous! There are about a million different types of sweets and chocolate for sale! The car upstairs is worth a visit for dessert as well - the gingerbread ice cream is to die for! The dessert pizza is also pretty tasty! Expensive but hey - you're on holiday!

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
