To some, this may be a money trap. To others, this could be a regular thing. For me, I truly enjoyed my afternoon here with my friends. Loved the food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience. Presenting basic ingredients to delicious dishes, cooking equipment to a lovely book store, a small flea market with local businesses. Loved the variety of... More

For me this is a must find place in New York. Great little market, good food and great little independent sellers.

This market is a collection of artisanal shops selling food and some jewellery, clothing and soap. The prices are quite high. It is OK for a stroll but I would not go out of my way to visit it.

The Chelsea Market is an excellent example of a NYC post industrial space conversion. The place is always hummimg with foodies, shoppers, tourists and locals. This is a very hip part of the city from sun up to sun up. There is a great cafe, bar, club, hotel, museum, restaurant and gallery scene in this iconic NYC neighborhood. In the... More

This used to be our go to grab and go quick lunch, especially at The Lobster Place but the food options have expanded everywhere but there isn't anywhere even stand and eat. They cut back on the tables and it has gotten so crowded it isn't comfortable.

Nice market, plenty to see, mainly food stalls but if you arent from the USA you'll probably find it interesting. A good option should it be a wet day.

We had a great time at Chelsea market - the food and shopping all in one place was great. Easy to walk through and loads of food options - you could have a progressive dinner or lunch from app to dessert in one location. The shopping is unique and fun. Artist and Flea is fun for gifts. An enjoyable stop... More

I loved this place when i lived in NYC years ago, and still do- always go back each time I visit. But is very busy- probably because of the High Line traffic. Favorites in the market- The Lobster Place- great seafood market, and the italian market. There are bakeries, a good vegetable market, and a great wine store. If you're... More

This venue is a big food court. There is very little "market". We are at a sushi restaurant. The "roll" was good but definitely not worth the price. The same roll at a local NYC sushi bar would be about 1/2. There is a restaurant/ kitchen store that has a huge variety of inventory. It was really cold in NYC... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
