First of all, the building that Chelsea Market is in is historical and interesting. There are many different types of food that you can buy for a meal or snack. There are also stores that sell kitchen goods, baking, clothes, etc. My favourite area was actually at the back of the building, where you walk down some stairs into a... More

Chelsea Matket has so much variety, it's a must-visit! We particularly liked the doughnut shop, Bar Suzette's crepes and trying all the different oils and salts at The Filling Station.

This is a good covered market/shopping mall with a number of interesting food shops, restaurants and homeware shops. Worth a visit.

We ended up here from the High Line and I wasn't disappointed. We grabbed a beer from the Filling Station and walked around. Thank god we weren't hungry because we'd never know what to choose! Busy but fun!

I took a guided tour of the Chelsea Market and wasn't disappointed. It was an eating and walking tour with a bit of history mixed in. The wide variety of places at the market made it even more fun.

We almost always go there for a visit when we are in the city. We walked and ate and shopped. We finished with great gelato. It is good to see the new places and to walk through the familiar ones.

Spent some time in NYC over the last few months and happy to have gotten to Chelsea Market. Come hungry and plan to graze your way. The unique collection of market options is fun for the foodie in you. The donuts are a must try and make sure you have your fill of fresh oysters prior. Good for the shopper... More

Lovely place to stop for lunch, browse shops and make a few purchases. I bought some souvenirs and sweets there. Its conveniently located right next to an entrance of the high line - so would recommend ticking both off the list on the same day.

This is a nice concentration of boutique eateries and retail shops that is worth a visit if in the area. It has a wide variety of places fast and slow to eat and some excellent choices for shopping for that New York City gift.
