Neighbourhood: Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

- TinkzssAmwaj Islands, Bahrain55 contributionsMemories of a lifetimeMyself and my mom travelled to New York for a belated 60th birthday gift, we really wanted to watch a concert in Madison square garden so we saw WIZKID, we had nose bleed seats but it truly didn’t matter. The atmosphere was as amazing! Big shout out to Robert C the usher he was fantastic. Very informative not only about Madison square garden but New York in general. Truly a once in a life time moment that will we cherish forever. Toilets clean & tidy We didn’t eat but got drinks and although pricy was worth it.Visited November 2022Travelled with familyWritten 11 December 2022
- LeonhknyHong Kong, China14,204 contributionsHome win for KnicksVisited Madison Square Garden to watch my first NBA game. Currently the stadium is amid construction sites and can be a bit challenging to navigate. The arena itself is new, modern and tidy. Both food and accessories stalls are plenty for fans and first-timers alike. Row 210 is a budget option with a clear view of the basketball match. The vibe is real and most importantly, Knicks won!Visited December 2022Written 11 December 2022
- anthony bAberdeen, United Kingdom115 contributionsA venue steeped in history - well worth an hour of your trip but make sure to book!Took my teenage sons to The Garden to see round the iconic venue. The tour guide (Mark?) was full of beans and very excited - so much knowledge! The place is steeped in history. Only downside was that both locker rooms were out of action (but then they did warn that might happen when I booked). Construction on 7th Avenue outside makes it a little confusing getting in.Visited December 2022Written 14 December 2022
- andyjoanne2014Westford, Massachusetts111 contributionsFANTASTICSaw Andrea Bocelli last week. Someone should canonize the sound crew. Every time we go to MSG we are blown away with how precise the balance and volume is. The Garden is clean and the security is great. You can feel safe here.Visited December 2022Written 26 December 2022
- ClareNic77Hadlow, United Kingdom202 contributionsVisited for a Knicks gameWe visited MSG to watch a Knicks game on the run up to Christmas. It was a good experience, lots of fun, nice and clean etc. The food and drinks are expensive but that’s usual for stadiums. We only encountered two or three members of staff but they were all friendly, cheerful and courteous.Visited December 2022Travelled with familyWritten 27 December 2022
- JoeManchester, United Kingdom105 contributionsAmazing atmosphereVisited MSG whilst in New York to watch the Knicks. The arena is unbelievable, I had to pinch myself whilst I was in there. Prices of beer were a little bit expensive but I kind of already knew that before we arrived.Visited January 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 January 2023
- urbanguyRichmond, Virginia4,629 contributionsA True "Sports Palace"The place is phenomenal. I hadn't been there since I went to NIT basketball games with my Dad in the 1950s. My daughter and son-in-law are "rabid" Washington Caps fans. We came up from Virginia to see them play the NY Rangers. The Caps won big. A memorable night at a memorable facility.Visited December 2022Written 1 February 2023
- jetboyb747Tecumseh, Canada156 contributionsNot What I ExpectedWent to see a Rangers game. The arena concession area has a great variety of options. The prices, obviously because it's an arena, were very high. So much so, that alcoholic beverage prices are not even shown on the board. So, you choose what you want, and then get the sticker price. Was the most expensive tall boy can I have ever purchased at $17.00USD. I think that's a LOT ridiculous, considering the cost is probably $1.50 at most. The arena, despite what I've heard were extensive renovations, was certainly not what I would have thought. The jumbo tron is pretty good, but the arena lacks the wrap around lighting between levels, which, to me, is pretty standard in any of the new arenas. I am not really sure how they would expect a family to be able to afford these prices.Visited January 2023Written 6 February 2023
- Chris ETonbridge, United Kingdom767 contributionsBrilliant experienceGreat experience an really glad we went to the Knicks game which they worn !. Really iconic place and huge tickets not that cheap at £90 but seats were great and worth it for the experience. Only down side was the price of food and drinks as paid $55 for two beers and two hot dogs and then $26 for a beer and a water !Visited February 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 21 February 2023
- ka-daviesWrexham, United Kingdom21 contributionsGreat experience & try the ticket office as soon as you land to save extra fees. The best place if you can't find tickets online is to visit the ticket office as soon as you arrive a few days before if you can. We saved hundreds of dollars this way although the tickets were really high up it didn't stop us enjoying the game and there are screens all the way up. They do a t-shirt throw a few times but you won't be close enough if you sit further up than the 110 etc layer of seating. Subway to Penn station the best place to get off. We didn't eat but food looked ok.Visited April 2023Written 7 April 2023

Spent three nights at the garden 1 for the rangers game and 2 for kiss final concerts amazing arena with lots of food vendors and great sound quality, be warned the seats are very uncomfortable with very limited leg room too the point it feels like your being squashed.
If a band offers early merch shopping arrive at least 2 hours before the set open time we arrived about 1 hour early and had to queue (fine) we only went early for the last poster staff where telling people it was 2 posters per guest which clearly wasn’t the case as while in queue we saw scum resales persons with at least 50 poster and others with around 20 and so on when we got inside guess what they had sold out and I wonder why that was oh yes because they can’t stick to there own rules appalling this isn’t fair to fans who had bought tickets for the show and actually wanted some memorabilia they should only let people in who have tickets tbh but there we are

Easy to enter from street level with ticket scanning before heading to Level 8 for the 200’s seating area for a great night’s basketball between Knicks and Charlotte Hornets. Kicks won.

I went to the Depeche Mode concert on 10/28/23. The tickets were very overpriced at $175 each for seats that were 3 rows from the top. I had two tickets and brought a friend. The seats were section 210 row 23 seats 15 and 16. I even bought the tickets an hour after the show started on StubHub so I could save money and time it so that I got there just after the opening band finished and the main band took stage. I could have gotten the same seats for the same concert at Wells Fargo Center in Philly for $26 each. The concession stand vendors were very overpriced too: one small 8 ounce liquor drink that was mostly ice which I bought for my friend cost $45; probably worth $9. I bought a soft pretzel and medium Diet Coke for $25 total. The same would have cost me $4 at a Wawa in New Jersey. The construction on the outside of the building made the facility look unrecognizable. The climate control on the inside was poorly regulated as it felt like a sweat box. The seats were very close together and there was not much personal space for comfort. The view was semi obstructed by the elevated club section seats. My seats were so high up, I had minimal view of the Jumbotron; only some large screen tv was in place for supplemental livestream views of the concert for my section seats. I must say that the acoustics were very good and that the crowd had a lot of energy and the band kept the crowd engaged in the show. Because of the excessive and unnecessary overpricing, the next concert for me will be at Wells Fargo Center in Philly!

What a stadium!! It’s vast and beautiful with great seating and 360° views. I don’t think there is a seat you could pick that wouldn’t give you greater clear views of whatever it is you are going to see there.
We watched the Nicks play and it was a fantastic experience!
Hot dogs were mega too!!!!

First time at MSG for a Queen concert. First off, Queen rocked the house, amazing show, one of best I’ve ever seen! In terms of the arena, it was humbling to be at such a storied place for sure. While the building was a bit dated in some regards, it still was nice - seats were comfortable, sound was good, facilities were clean, staff was helpful and friendly. One downside, drinks were very overpriced. Got two mixed drinks, no prices posted, cost me $50 with the tip. A bit steep even for the city! There is a lot of work going on (construction) outside so finding the right entrance and line to get in was a bit confusing. But there were people around trying to direct people to the right place. Leaving took forever as you have to herd down escalators turned off (so basically stairs) winding down several flights. Seemed much tighter and packed than other arenas we have been to. But all in all, we will consider coming back for a show in the future.

This was our second visit to MSG and Billy Joel was amazing! The seats were in Section 104 Row 15 Seat 19 & 20 and we had a great view. The staff are so helpful. There are multiple food and drink options available. Easy in and out of the building with access to trains. It was a great evening.

Do Knicks fixture dates change? Looking to visit NYC and buy Knicks tickets on Ticketmaster now (August) for game in April. Don’t want to book flights, hotels and tickets only for the game date to change. Any help much appreciated.

En mi caso, miré cuándo había partido en el Madison en los días que estábamos con mi esposa en NY, y coincidió que era los Knicks contra los Brooklyn Nets. Estoy de acuerdo con que ir al Madison es en sí un espectáculo

Hi to MSG, we are coming to NYC in April and I'm super happy there is a Billy Joel show scheduled during our stay (April 22). The webpage says there might be play offs, does anyone know, when this is decided? And will it be possible to buy tickets only 2-3 days in advance, once we arrived in NYC. I'm from Germany and afraid, that it might not work if I buy in the internet...Thanks and best regards Katrin

Lots of construction but very safe. Love to stay at Chelsea Marriot right across from Police precinct. About as safe and convenient to MSG as can be. Mustang Harry’s is good quick place to eat just before events
