Nothing special but we still had our share of good laughs. We came from Midtown to see the show and felt we would have had the same experience at any other club plus would have saved on cab fares. Like most NYC comedy clubs you might go to, be prepared for two drink minimum with outrageous prices. $8 for a Ginger-Ale... More

I've been a fan of stand up since jerry Seinfeld started out and saw videos of him performing at the comic strip. So it's been a lifelong ambition to go see a show here. Booked the tickets in the UK NO MENTION OF a MINIMUM TWO DRINKS POLICY? so drinks are $17 a pop! So although the comedians were okay... More

We enjoyed the comedians at the comic strip live! They were many of them and most of them were hilarious. Don't go hungry and be careful about your cocktails. Mine seemed very weak for the money. To be fair, sometimes it's hard to tell. The MC was brutal in terms of picking out targets in the audience. Hope to return... More

Most of the comedians were hilarious. I laughed out loud at them. They used their own material and also ragged on the audience very well-including shutting up people who forget the show and attention is supposed to be focused on the comedians and not them.. Host Mike Britt was very funny. Patty Rosborough had old material. The other comedians were superb.... More

If you are looking for a true comedy place, this is it. However it's not cheap. Bring cash only to pay for the tickets $20/person. Then be prepared for a $20 drink minimum (not hard to meet with the drink prices)! All in all a good place for up and coming comics.

The comedians were funny. Interestingly, that's not always the case for a comedy club. I purchased my tickets on groupon so I got my money's worth. I had a good time. I have been there before and I will go back.

Wanted to go to comedy club on trip and saw great vendor selling tickets so thought why not. Got two for $15. Gave contact details etc in case they need to get in touch. Got $15 cab ride to other side of city to be told that their electrics were down so it wasn't on. They hadn't called us to... More

My neighborhood comedy club - booming for decades. It's all about the acts the club books and this place has it down. Decent food and drinks, too! A great evening. Do not go if you're easily offended!

No complaints about the comics or service. The drinks bill however, was twice the amount than it said on the price list - and it's a condition of your ticket that you buy two drinks per person. We had to pay $80 for a bottle of wine when the price list said $40. We were threatened with them calling the... More

We went uptown for a comedy show and were not disappointed. The host and the three comics were quite funny, although I prefer it to be a little cleaner in language. I have been to shows in other cities that were so nasty, that I walked out, but this wasn't the case at CSL. I think having a drink minimum... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
