I've asked Roberta many questions, sometimes the same question, and she very patiently answered each and every one of them. I've never known her to not know the answer. Thank You Roberta.

I've met up with Roberta (NYC Spark Your Creativity) at different sites throughout NYC with my teens for her photo workshops. Each one has been a great experience and lots of fun. She did a great job in showing us camera techniques and providing the backdrops of Central Park, The High Line, and other parks downtown for day and nighttime... More

Great New York experience for beginner and intermediate photographers. Roberta has a great energy and is able to teach at all levels. The review at the end and comments from Roberta and the others is always helpful. I'm a native New Yorker and have gone to several sessions with her and am looking forward to the next one. Maureen T

I received a camera for my birthday and a class at NYC Spark Your Creativity...and it was such a great experience that I keep going back! Every class teaches me something new and allows my creativity to flow a bit more. Roberta is a magnificent teacher - patient, kind, funny, and sincere! I would recommend for everyone - from beginners... More

Roberta's workshops are well thought out. I enjoyed her safari in NYC and the shooting at Grand Central. Her encouragement, and constructive feedback lets you move forward by opening up to new ideas and creations; even for those who are just starting out to use their equipment, they come out with great stuff in the end. I am glad I... More

Roberta's warmth and know-how are a great combination for students of all levels. Our safari to El Barrio pushed me out of my comfort zone with manual camera settings and also introduced me to some fresh subject matter. I especially enjoyed reviewing images on her iPad afterward and having the opportunity to learn from the other participants. All in all,... More

Roberta's Parents & Children photography class in Central Park was a great way to enjoy the park with the kids, while learning to take advantage of our cameras. Roberta taught us basic principles to get more out of our DSLRs (which up to the class we only used on "auto" mode) and also several ways to get more of our... More

I had such a fun experience with Roberta and our group for the photo safari in NYC - this workshop taught me how to recognize great photo opportunities all around us everyday and to think more creatively when taking photographs. Roberta is excellent and so fun! She knows the city well, has a great attitude and is very attentive to... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
