Fun night with my teenage children

I have to admit the first act started very slowly. I was more than a little worried since I had brought my 15 and 17 year old children to their first "Broadway" musical and it... read more

My husband an I traveled from Houston Texas to New York with our two son's for other reasons, seeing the show @ the Foxwoods Theater was something we added. The show was slow starting for our boys ages 12 and 8. Then later picked up. The singing part's by the Green Goblin(Patrick Page? Hope I mentioned the right name) Awesome!!... More

I have to admit the first act started very slowly. I was more than a little worried since I had brought my 15 and 17 year old children to their first "Broadway" musical and it felt like it was going to be a dud. Fortunately things picked up near the halfway point of the first act and the second act... More

I did not expect much from some of the reviews, but loved the show. The scenery was spectacular, and made it feel like the cartoon it was. You were literally in the cartoon. Same with the costumes and masks. Julie Taymor should get a lot more credit for the show. I was not a Spiderman fan, but enjoyed the story... More

I have seen a lot of shows over the years and certainly not all of them have been Broadway and I was determined not to compare Spiderman to a true Musical and feel I have achieved this. I enjoyed the movie and wondered how they would turn such a visual display onscreen to onstage. Sadly, in my opinion it was... More

Ok, this is NOT the Broadway production, that is going to bring you to tears, with moving songs, or themes....Cats, Phantom,Wicked, etc. this is NOT... That said, open yourself to some theatrical experimentation, eye popping visuals, and rock and roll music by Bono and The Edge of U2, and you will LOVE this play. Well worth seeing! Think Rock &... What can I say - I really wanted to like this production. I love U2, love Spiderman and the comic book world. But this was really not a good Broadway production. Spiderman's swinging around the theatre can't cover up poor music, poor singing, poor sets and poor acting. Some good performances from a couple of the cast. Best they could... More

There is no doubt the special effects, and the stage was fantastic. The flying, swinging and web shooting was alot of fun. Even with all this the song choice and balads made much of this seriously slow and boring. I really enjoy musicals but you have to have a share of up beat songs rather then long slow balads. The... It's a storyline that everyone knows. This makes the show predictable and there are no real surprises. The songs are not great. But the sets and special effects are very good. The cast wizz around on wires, flying right over the audience. It cost a lot of money to see this show, and in my opinion, it's not worth it.

Spider-man on Broadway is definitely one of the best Broadway plays on the strip. It has a lot of high-flying action and thrill! And the acting is fononamle! Most definitely going back to see it again!

Absolutely loved the show. Been a spider man fan my entire life and this play truly brought back great memories. I loved the music, the actors were fantastic and the stunts were awesome. Absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
