Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of the newest and most modern areas of New York. it is located at the terminus of a metro line near the Edge and near the vassel. it is also located at the end of the Highline and is a not too large modern space overlooked by skyscrapers and shopping centers. Pulsating and passing place also close to the Intrepid museum and the departure of the ships that allow you to take tourist tours. it is more of a business place than a tourist one but it is still a new area that should be seen while walking among modern buildings. The shopping center located in the center is very nice.

Hudson Street runs parallel to the Hudson River. Plenty of park space and Chelsea Piers is along Hudson. Beautiful tall buildings on the east side of the street. There were plenty of families walking around and enjoying the parks.

I have a personal goal of walking all of the north/south major routes in Manhattan, and Hudson Street fits that description even though it is not an avenue.
There are a number of interesting bars and restaurants on the street, but my checklist here is for the major buildings. They include:
-- The former New York Mercantile Exchange building is located at the corner of Hudson and Harrison Street in TriBeCa.
-- The Church of St. Luke in the Fields and its garden.
-- White Horse Tavern (the bar where poet Dylan Thomas drank and collapsed before he died of alcohol poisoning).
-- Headquarters of radio station WQHT ("Hot 97"), which has been the site of several shootings including a gunfight between the entourages of 50 Cent and The Game in 2005.
-- U.S. headquarters of the Pearson-owned Penguin Group.
-- Hudson Bar & Books, cigar bar, is one of only eight bars in New York City where you can legally smoke.
-- Abingdon Square at 14th Street -- one of the few places where the name was not changed after the Revolution; the British owners supported the cause -- the statue of the doughboy is well done.
-- Cowgirl Hall of Fame, fun Western kitsch bar.
-- 675 Bar -- a huge bar located in warehouse space 60 feet beneath Ninth Avenue -- used to be 675 Hudson, now Triangle Building.

Looking for a street filled with quaint restos? Hudson Street is the place to visit. We really enjoyed the quietness of it all - so different from Midtown. Lots of cafes, outdoor eating spots, shops. You can walk the Highline from top to bottom and end up close to Hudson.

Going to Greenwich Village? Take a walk up and down 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue first... that way you'll know why Hudson Street is where you want to be. By comparison to the other Avenues, it's nearly peaceful. You can feel it. The traffic is slower and you'll walk more slowly past a variety of restaurants and smaller specialty shops. Yes, sadly there is a Starbucks and Rite Aid, but even those don't quite feel like the overcrowded generic versions of those unnecessary chain giants. See the farmers market on weekend mornings and watch all the Village kids playing in Bleecker Street Park - one of the few oasis for families with children in the area. Hudson Street ends at 14th Street and from there you are at the border of Chelsea and you can walk or bus to the East Village. Or maybe, just turn around and walk back down it again and see what you missed! [okay, full disclosure... I live right off Hudson Street so I'm biased]

Whether you consider Hudson Street to be part of the West Village or Meatpacking District, there are lots of great restaurants and tony shops full of interesting merchandise. My favorite watering hole there is Hudson Bar & Books, but there are lots of other options. Late at night it is really hopping over there, especially just below 14th Street.

Another way of exploring these areas of NYC, Hudson Street is an opportunity to walk on a north-south street from Tribeca through Hudson Square and Greenwich Village to the Meatpacking District. All areas which are fun to experience, get the feel of these neighborhood and stop in one of the cafes and restaurants on the way.

We came here for dinner as there are a lot of very good restaurants in the Village on this street. It is quite long and runs on to the Meat Packing District, but most of the street is in the West Village. Lots of charm.

This is a great place for a long walk. My favorite stretch is through the West Village with some great architecture and a couple of small parks. We had dinner here a few times in good restaurants.
