Most walking tours point and stare at New York-with Streetwise New York, you live it! Streetwise New York explores neighborhoods, recounts history and studies contrast--but does so knowing that New York’s essence isn’t listed in guidebooks or displayed in museums. The true New York is melted into slices of pizza, hidden in subways, and carried in the ever-changing stories of its 8.5 million people.

Dan was an excellent tour guide. His knowledge of the area was outstanding and he showed a lot of interest in the individual members of the tour. I would take this tour again and use his company in a heart beat.

We are familiar with Manhattan but wanted to understand more of Queens. Andrew, brought the neighbourhood to life with an entertaining and fascinating view of the cultural history. We asked for people, markets, food and drink and he delivered.

I would like to recommend trip around Brooklyn. I love our gide. She was an artist and like a artist she used to live in Brooklyn. Nice stories and good time :)

This experience was fascinating. We not only walked through one of the oldest and dynamic places in the United States but Andrew our tour guide had a great historical background for everywhere we went. Highly recommend StreetWise

Dan kept all of us (3 adults and 3 teens) interested as we visited places and heard stories we had never known. A great way to spend the day in the city. Punctual and professional.

We stayed at pod 51 in New York and the streetwise tours made our trip so much better. They are professional but friendly, and totally free which is amazing considering the depth of knowledge you will gain about the city.

Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and
smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like
entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle

stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up
at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from
the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many
bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where
