Great band

If you enjoy good old music you definately should try this out. Not the best food, and a not so cosy venue but the music was really good.

Fantastic atmosphere with everyone enjoying themselves immensely. Shared a table with a few people that I had never met but the shared love and joy of Blues in this venue soon made new friends and was worth more than words can say. Table service was quick and accurate, food good but the real attraction is the venue and the music... More

We were visiting NYC and wanted to try the Motown show as I had previously attended other shows here. There was five if us and I bought the tickets online before leaving the U.K. We had intended having dinner at the show in Lucilles. We waited outside for 30 mins so we could get good seats as it stipulates that... More

BB Kings is a great venue. It is larger than The Blue Note by twice or more, but somehow manages to feel quite intimate. We sat stage left, second row, for an amazing Richard Elliot show. It was a devoted audience, all fans of Mr. Elliot (and why not?), not tourists by any stretch. The wait staff is attentive and... More

Went with a few friends to brunch at Lucille's Bar & Grill inside BB King's blues club and had a mixed experience. The entertainment was great, the service was average, but the food was just bad. I ordered the vegetable omelette and a salad. The salad was overdressed but otherwise decent. The omelette was pitiful: small, lukewarm, dry, and otherwise... More

We ate there attracted by the inexpensive lunch menu, but stayed when we found out it was dinner service. The fried catfish was tasty with a very light batter, and the ribs were to die for- melt off the bones good. Not too sweet, not too hot. While we were eating a rock-jazz fusion band began to play- I would... More

We spent 3 days in NYC, just after the election. This band of excellent musicians, who have been paying tribute to the Beatles for the past 28 years, lifted our spirits by offering classics of the '60s. Great atmosphere, excellent brunch.

Let first say you visit BB Kings for the music, not for the food. Saw a college friend preform which was well worth the cost of admission and dinner. The venue has that smoky Deep South venue which is great. The table which you pay a premium for is within 15 feet of the stage for a great intimate venue.... More

Let's get something out of the way right now. A venue is only part of the equation when you go to see a band. You want a good view, a beer (or 2!) and good food if possible. It doesn't hurt to be seeing someone you like, either! We chose this gig because it was an opportunity to see a... More

1.5 hour show and dinner. Limited menu and slow service. Probably many places better for dinner but love the MOTOWN show with Big Daddy Wayne.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
