Hubby and I visited NYC over President's Day Weekend to take in some Broadway shows, including the mega-hit, "Hamilton: An American Musical." Having taken a Broadway Up Close Walking Tour before, it was a no-brainer to include their new Hamilton tour as part of our itinerary. We were part of a large group, so we were split into two smaller... More

My husband and I visit NYC 3-4 times a year, so we've done most of the touristy things. We were looking for something different and since we are theater buffs we decided to try the Broadway Up Close walking tour. It was fabulous! Tim, the owner, was our guide and provided us with so much inside information. His stories were... More

My two daughters and I had a great time on our Broadway Up Close Act 1 Tour with John. We are still talking about all of the things that we learned and can't wait to try the other tours next time we are in New York. It was a perfect follow-up after spending the night before at a show on... More

When my husband and I headed to New York a couple weeks ago, a Broadway Up Close tour and a Broadway show were our only must-dos! We had so enjoyed Act I on a previous trip, we didn't even consider other Broadway tour options. Tim was our guide for our Act II tour, and like Act I we loved it!... More

Tim Dolan's Hamilton tour was amazing. Tim was knowledgeable and a great storyteller. His attention to detail is what sets this tour part from others. Loved the little known historical facts, the "Hamilton" insider information and the hand warmers! Take this tour it is worth your time.

Anyone who visits NYC should add at least one BUC tour to their trip! We ended up doing 3 of the tours because we loved them so much. Tim has so much knowledge and impeccable delivery. I can't stop sharing all the stories he told us. I can't think of a better way to spend a couple hours before going... More

The Hamiltour may be my favorite of all of the tours (Act 1, 2, & 3) because of the insider view that Tim brought. Chasing down props, the movements the actors make- it was amazing to see so many details of the show alongside the history of the city. Wall Street (with scars), Trinity Church... places with so much history,... More

I have taken all the BUC tours and was excited to see "The Unofficial Hamilton" tour added. I thouroughly enjoyed the tours I had taken with BUC in the past, and was looking forward to this one. Well I was not disappointed. This tour is on par with all of the other BUC tours I have taken. Tim interwove history... More

What a fantastic tour experience! We've always enjoyed musicals, but wouldn't categorize ourselves as a "theater nerd." We've seen shows on Broadway before, but haven't ever bothered to learn the history of the theater district. Broadway Up Close was the history of the theater district with an emphasis on the theaters, the shows, and the key players of the time... More

I'm so glad I decided to take part in this tour. I'm a musical threatre major and wasn't sure I should do it at first. It was extremely interesting to learn the incredible history of the buildings standing right in front of us! It made NYC and 42nd street far more magical. It was so wonderful that I've listened to... Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
