Broadway Up Close really is!!! Wonderful informative walking tour about Broadway theaters and show business. We've had Tim twice (Act I a couple of weeks ago & Act II yesterday). Tim is energetic & fantastic in telling delightful stories and tidbits about theater and the people on Broadway. If you're a theater lover or just want the inside scoop, you'll... More

I went on Act 1 this weekend with a friend. The owner Tim was our guide and had so much energy and enthusiasm and most of all knowledge. I am a huge Broadway fan and learned things I didn't know about the history of Broadway. I can't wait to go back and take Act 2 and Act 3. I highly... More

Tour guide in Central Park, Tim's style is definitely what I strive to do on my best days! After a quick history of the Broadway district, he quickly digs into the hidden stories that made me walk away like I knew a few secrets! He is also a working actor which serves as a nice contrast of mixing 'Broadway history'... More

What a great start to our first NYC family trip! Tim was really welcoming, knowledgeable, entertaining, and gave us a lot of fun insight to Wicked which we're attending in 2 days. I am rarely moved to take the time to write reviews but I am happy to do so in this case. Our 12 year old dancer loved it... More

My mom and I went on the ACT 1 tour this weekend. Our tour guide, Tim, immediately felt like an old friend. I'm in my 20's and have only been to a handful of Broadway shows, while my mom's been to dozens. The tour was just as interesting for both of us and we came away having a whole new... More

We did the Act 1 tour with Tim and he was just terrific. Great energy, great charisma. We learned about the history of Broadway and individual theaters, with Tim showing us great period photos to illustrate his points. He performs on Broadway and was ready to answer any question any of us about rehearsals, salaries, touring and anything else you... More

My 12 year old daughter who loves Broadway and I both LOVED our Broadway Up Close Walking Tour walking tour. Our tour guide, Cary, was enthusiastic, knowledgable, and entertaining offering interesting facts and stories about the theaters, shows, and NYC history. I would highly recommend these walking tours and plan to check out another one of theirs on a return... More

I was fortunate to have a very small group tour (3 participants) but I think this tour would be great no matter the group size. I was on the Act 1 tour (but will definitely return for following Acts when next in NYC). Cary was immediately welcoming and chatted about the shows I was seeing whilst we awaited the other... More

Our guide, John, met our group with warmth and enthusiasm. We began on time sharing a morning of learning and exploring the history and lore of 42nd Street. I have been coming to theater almost yearly since the late 1960's. John's tour brought a depth of understanding to the evolution of the area complete with comic insight and ghost stories.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
