We went there with our 4,5 year old girl during a rainy day. There was a lot to do and they had some very nice activities like making your own animation on the computer. You can follow a clay workshop and do a lot of painting. Our girl liked it a lot and it was a very good alternative for... More

this place is amazing. Lots of stuff to do and discover for the children. Bright open space, lovely staff, lots of different things and best of all: in a quiet part of town

I moved to Queens a month ago with my 6, going on 7 year old daughter. We are coming from Texas so we aren't use to having to do indoor activities in the winter because of the weather. We found this place this past weekend and we're very happy! It is a small place as other reviewers have mentioned but... More

We went here as tourists to give a few hours of fun to our kids, away from the usual tourist places ;-) This is clearly a place where locals and tourist go with their kids. It's not huge, it's not a museum as you an usual understand it, but it's more a place where kids can make art. Of course... More

We visited with our 2 year old son and he had a great time. There are a few exhibits on the walls and various themes which might be suitable for slightly older kids but there is still plenty of fun to be had by younger kids. There are various areas where kids can paint, make things, build things etc. A... More

For us (family of 4 with a 4 years old and a 6 years old) it couldn't be more perfect. Especially since we live a few blocks away. Some children's museum "dumb things down" for the kids, this is not the case at all!! Great quality all around, everything available to experiment, great instructors that are actual artists and care... More

This was our second time visiting the CMA and now that our daughter was slightly older we had an even better time! The CMA is located in SOHO right hear stations for both the A C E lines and the 1 2 lines. So very easy to access. There's even street parking available early on a weekend morning. The staff... Our 10 year old and 6 year old grandkids loved this "hands-on" engaging museum. The opportunity to paint with water colors and acrylics, to work with clay at the clay bar and to participate in the sound lab to create and "lay down" a unique music track were very enjoyable experiences.

This was a spontaneous decision to the youngest member of the family with parents and grandparents in tow as it was far too cold outside to anything nice. Having walked past this place a gazillion times we decided to try it, and I think the adults had the most fun. It was full of kids, all sizes shapes, races and... More
