Took this as a freebie and seriously was awesome. Sure I could have paid a lot more to walk up close to the Statue of Liberty but the ferry was perfect. All we needed.

I can't comment on all the of the ferry journey's that are run throughout the day but certainly the ones running from 1-3pm that we went on had the outside decks roped/closed off, meaning you have to stay on the inner decks and look out...More

We have always like taking a ride on boats or ferries. This one we never miss when we are in NYC. It’s a nice ride to see Manhattan’s skyline. You can stand or sit, inside or outside. There’s restrooms and a concession stand.

This ride was pretty smooth and makes 2 stops one to Ellis Island and then statue of liberty. For one fee the ferry takes you to both plus it includes entry fee to statue of liberty pedestal.

You can walk on board the ferry and enjoy a free ride over to Staten Island and return on the next boat. We love to leave the tip of Manhattan around sunset; the view for the next hour or so are spectacular!

I presume you could there are plenty of staff aboard there to help the gang plank on to the ferry is over wide so it'll be sufficient to accommodate a scooter of its kind
