This ride was pretty smooth and makes 2 stops one to Ellis Island and then statue of liberty. For one fee the ferry takes you to both plus it includes entry fee to statue of liberty pedestal.
You can walk on board the ferry and enjoy a free ride over to Staten Island and return on the next boat. We love to leave the tip of Manhattan around sunset; the view for the next hour or so are spectacular!
