Interesting area with still some town houses to be seen. A lot of up and coming pop up boutiques plus some small coffee shops etc. Although not on a grid and you need to know where you are going!

We loved how our bridal pictures turned out here! Took them at 5am for the best lighting and there are plenty of food options there for any meal!

Go over to 29 E 2nd St at about 2nd or 3rd street and there is a mexican place; great coffee; eggs and chorizo etc. Called Rosi's:

Most anywhere in NYC you should check out advanced reservations, as even places that normally don't have reservations may have a New Year's event. Depends what you like, but Arturos on Houston is a great bar with brick oven... More
