It is not as well known as Brooklyn Bridge. The Manhattan Bridge connects Manhattan (China Town) and downtown Brooklyn over the East River. The Triumphal Arch and colonnade on the Manhattan side are a wonderful sight. So visit Chinatown for a meal and walk over...More

You've walked over Brooklyn Bridge and around Dumbo and figure that a walk back on this iconic bridge would make a nice return. But... - It's very noisy with subway trains rattling past very close to your ears on this metal structure. - Photos looking...More

We did this on our first full day there and although it was a misty damp day it was still very enjoyable. Helps clear the head from the flight. We did it without a tour guide and unless you are a bridge nut I think...More

We saw it from the water - spectacular landmark, one of NYC's awesome bridges connecting the boroughs.

If you have time better to go to this bridge by foot over East river. It connect lower Manhattan to Brooklyn. Quite crowded, toll-free. Other option to take snaps from Brooklyn Bridge.

Went over this bridge many times while touring the city. It's a "normal" part of things...but the fascination continues. Don't miss it!

Joined the Friday 11am session of the walking tour and spent a very well worth it 2-3 hours learning about the bridge and early NYC history, political corruption and sexism alongside maybe 20 others. Encountered very angry and verbally aggressive black male cyclists heading over...More

Good pic to take from Brooklyn bridge which I walked across. I had to plead and stomp my feet for my girlfriend said let's go. Lol. This was after walking miles already. One more thing to say I accomplished. If we hadn't done it, we...More

Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving
immigrant past and its modern transformation into a
beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side
is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city.
The blocks of tenements that represented the promise
and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience
now command top dollar for new residents. Right next
to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment
