I recommend you come here if you want to get away from the hussle and bussle of downtown NYC. I came here last week to get a little bit of piece and quiet from Broadway nearby. The spectacular artwork, and gargoyles next door offer solitude...More

If they have their Halloween event - you have to go. Nothing else like it. It is not touristy. The tour of the facility and the basement was interesting - but not as interesting as the silent film event with accompanying organ music.

We did the Vertical Tour and it was absolutely amazing! You must book in advance as it’s only conducted at certain times and days and the tour is limited to 20 people. You climb up a narrow spiral staircase up to about 3 different levels...More

Would love to take a tour. Attended Crafts in the Cathedral which was very nice. Love the atmosphere of the place. It clearly needs some major love, but it's an interesting place and so glad to have had the chance to be there.

The cathedral is gorgeous, huge, impressive. The view from Morningside Park was even better. But to visit you have to pay $10, I found it expensive and didn't like the fact that it was mandatory.

What a surprise to find the largest gothic cathedral in the world in Harlem ! It truly is colossal and filled with serenity and beauty. $10 entrance fee and we enjoyed our visit.

Yes, this is a very easy self-tour. In fact, tours take place even during services, so you're somewhat expected to be self-sufficient.
