Lovely, unfortunately one section is covered in scaffolding but old historic buildings need a lot of up keep. So much detail and history they do not make buildings like this anymore. Check it out.

The Ansonia is an imposing presence in the Upper West Side. Inside, there is a small exhibit on Babe Ruth, who was a resident here in the 1930's. Unfortunately, there is not much other information available on site, as far as I can tell.

One of the most ornate and beautiful old apartment buildings in New York. If you are wandering on the Upper West Side, you should go and take a look. Lots of good cafes and restaurants around.

Easily passed by, the Ansonia is one of many examples of beaux arts architecture in the City. Built in early 1900 as a residential hotel its grandeur is well worth taking in.
