The unique concept behind City Food Tours was developed in New York City when Joyce Weinberg, a seasoned food industry professional with more than 20 years of experience, wanted to share her passion for fine foods. From managing Fortune 500 confectionery businesses, to buying gourmet chocolates for Bloomingdales, she's done it all. Compared to other existing New York food tours that focus on more common foods, CFT introduces tour guests to a vast offering of high-quality, artisanal foods and encourage them to support local specialty stores, farmers, and sustainable agriculture. We help people realize that there's a lot more out there than the processed foods they encounter in mega-marts.

This was my second food tour in NYC, and my daughters' (16 and 13) first. The youngest qualified for a child's price which I really liked because she is still not very open to trying "adult" foods. Our guide, Amira, was very pleasant and informative,...More

It is so nice doing a food tour and going through a part of the city with a local that tells you about the neighbourhood and takes you inside to have a few good foods. Learn more about Chelsea with its food market (and the...More

In my opinion this tour is absolutely not worth it and falls completely short of what it is advertised as. The only thing that may be true about this tour "...it will fill you up..." but certainly does not "...bring the history of the city...More

What this just boiled down to was being taken to 3 different bars and given cocktails, something I wouldn't have paid $145 for. I feel the phrase "prohibition tour" wildly exaggerated the experience we had. There was nothing "tour" about this. We arrived early at...More

All the food tastings were delicious! We learned a lot about New York history and culture, while eating amazing food. You could see the pride people had in what they made every day for the neighborhood and I think that was the best part.

This was a fun tour, and I highly recommend to people visiting New York. Kenny (? spelling) was an excellent tour guide. He shared his personal experiences as well as relevant facts about the food and the neighborhoods. The variety of the food was good....More

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS TOUR. The food portions are miniscule and the food is really not very good. The tour guide was very pleasant but actually gave little or no information about the areas that the tour visits- in fact, the tour...More

My friends and I were disappointed by our food tour. We've been on previous NYC food tours (different company) and have had wonderful experiences. You walked away with an in-depth knowledge of the neighborhood and restaurants. We had the totally opposite experience on this food...More

This was a frustrating experience for my husband and I as I was under the impression that it was going to be a speak easy tour. The tour was walking around with another couple and tour guide to three random bars (NOT SPEAK EASYS) and...More

Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have
easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural
institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most
livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth
Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of
the nation's most famous attractions in a single
stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the
Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the
