The promised ride to the airport was great; however the return ride was not provided as commited. No notification of the problem in providing pickup service as commited basically leaving me stranded at the airport. After being up for 24+ hours traveling back to USA ... I gave up on Blacklane customer service being able to do anything at all to fix their service failure and hopped into a cab. At this point it looks like I am eating the charge for the cab (so not real happy with Silverseas either in terms of speed to resolve this issue as it was part of the 'cruise package') ... waiting on Silverseas to respond now as Blacklane made it clear they did not assume any financial accountability for failure to provide service as committed. Do not bookI booked a pickup at the Nice, France Airport and another pickup from our hotel back to the Airport 8 days later in October 2023. On the day of arrival our flight was 1/2 hr late, which they were suppose to monitor. Driver arrived and left, as we just arrived. He said I can't wait and we have no one else to pick you up. I received a call from the office, as we are standing with our bags coming from customs, that the driver left and we have no one to come get you. I then cancelled with dispatch my upcoming pickup 8 days later. We then had to call an Uber to get to the airport which was much cheaper. Eight days later their driver arrived at our hotel to drive us to the airport, we refused to take them and I told the office that I cancelled this service. They are now trying to charge my credit card a partial fee for both dates. We are disputing. Just left me hanging. That is about as bad as it gets for car service. Worse yet, when I texted to express my disappointment, I received several paragraphs of pre-scripted responses, which essentially were just a lot of meaningless BS. The last driver alternated between accelerating and braking so much we felt ill. To top it off, we have had TWO drivers tell us they don’t get tips from the company. If that’s true, the website is lying. If it is not true, we felt we had to tip him directly. Shame on Blacklane. We booked a business class sedan as my mother is unable to get into high vehicles. There was a separate more expensive SUV option which I did not book intentionally. The company sent a huge SUV. We were unable to use the car and it ruined our plans and day. The company could not get another car and refused to refund my payment for three hours of car service time even though it was their error to not send the type car we booked. - Sue D4 contributionsSimply dreadfulHad a car booked well in advance for a journey from Richmond, Virginia to Dulles Airport, Washington for a transatlantic flight to London. Knowing it was the Sunday after Thanksgiving I specifically requested an early pickup. I received a text around 1pm informing me of my drivers name and ETA of 4pm - then at 3.30pm the driver called and said he would be 60-90 minutes later than booked as traffic was bad !!! I said that was unacceptable but they had no back up plan and had it not been for my wonderful husband driving me the 3 hours to DC I would have missed my flight and key business meetings. In 30+ years of business travel I have never experienced anything so totally unprofessional and inept. We only received a mixed message when we were transiting during our flight home possibly suggesting our car had been cancelled. The email said “dear back up” . Dont know what that really means. Anyway no one arrived after 45 mins after our flight. The problem with this company there is no contact number that the customers can use only. There is one for the US, UK, Germany and France. Great assistance! when you are standing in an airport in Australia. They have written to apologise and offer a free ride Val id for 3 months - but that is no good to me as I am not traveling for 4 months. My advice is book locally with a company that gives you a phone number and an email address. Our plane landed early but they could not get us into the terminal so we arrived at immigration at the same time we would have if we landed in time. Without any reference to us, Blacklane decided to bring our booking forward 2 hours so by the time we were out - at 18.30! - they had left. They charge customers full money and then put job in bidding and give to driver on lowest bidding price.

Horrible service!! And unreachable!! Production scheduled a pickup for me at LAX… after a 19hr day traveling and 4 large luggage with my work equipment I get a call from some rude woman saying they have been waiting and have to leave. Never in 30 yrs of production booking a car for me have I been left stranded!! The rude woman basically hung up on me when I said they needed to send another car and has a voicemail not set up.
Wow they are basically a rude Uber … not a professional service.
If you are looking for a professional chauffeur service … forget about this company… I give them -0000

I am shocked by the awful reviews. I’ve used Blacklane all over the world. Brazil, Italy, Portugal and other places. Every time I get prompt service with frequent communication updates and a professional driver with a luxury automobile.
I was happy when I heard they came to NYC. I don’t always use them because they are a bit more expensive than my local ‘basic’ Brooklyn car service but when I want something special I use them. I think they are still cheaper than Uber black and the cars are 100x nicer. Even when I book their business class car I get Mercedes s class, BMW 7 class or Cadillac Escalades. All stocked with bottled water and impeccably clean.
I especially love that the price is the price. No extra taxes, surcharges or other BS like Uber.
Highly recommend when you want a little extra pampering.

Crappy service. They build in their own buffer time which meant they arrived 40 minutes after I requested the ride. When I asked for a refund they declined because they said they had their own service. Also, I’ve had four rides booked in a Mercedes but a suburban always shows up instead.

I have used Blacklane in several cities including Boston, London, and Edinburgh. They have cancelled trips on me before (usually airport transfers), but today was a different story. I had been planning a graduation trip for my son for over a year, complete with a month-long hotel stay in Edinburgh. I spent a week packing, clearing out all the perishable foods from my home and cleaning. I woke up this morning to find that they had emailed me last night that the reservation was "unsuccessful" even though the charge for the trip was processed the day before. I called and only found a way to speak to someone by pressing the button to amend my reservation, as all other choices direct you to use the link sent to your phone to chat with them. When I finally got a real person on the phone I was told that they had been unable to find a driver/car for the trip (the first of two on this leg of the journey) and that they hoped I would understand. I asked for a supervisor and was told immediately that he was busy. When I went on the Blacklane website to complain in the chat window for their customer care (what a joke), there is a window that said the wait time is usually less than 30 minutes. I have a screenshot of the time elapsed as two hours with still no rep in sight. I spent an hour cancelling the remaining three Blacklane reservations, four rooms for Leeds (where I was to spend the night going to and coming from Edinburgh), and the hotel reservation for two rooms for a month in Edinburgh. This wasn't a trip that I could just phone a taxi company for. It was planned a year ago with the car reservation being made July 7th and reconfirmed on July 16th, when I was told that everything was fine with the reservations. I will never trust my travel, important or otherwise to this company again and I strongly suggest that if you want dependable service that you look elsewhere.

We’ve used Blacklane frequently when traveling abroad and their service has always been great. Unfortunately not the same when using in the U.S. our flight arrived 45 minutes early. We thought the point of giving our flight info was so the driver could monitor our flight status. The concierge with whom I spoke, I believe her name was Terri, basically said our booking didn’t have a flight number even though I input it in the app on two separate occasions. She said the app sometimes doesn’t take changes and I should’ve called to let them know of the update. Not sure what the point of the app is if we still need to call. Perhaps they should fix their app? In any event, because we were less than one hour from our pickup time she says she’d have to charge us if we canceled. Obviously we didn’t want to lose our money so here we are waiting for our ride (which, btw, was extremely expensive at $108 from Midway to the Langham Hotel). She didn’t offer anything else for the inconvenience, and basically made us feel like it was our fault even though their app didn’t take our flight info. It’s really unfortunate and we definitely won’t be using them again in the U.S. I guess this is the type of customer service we have to deal with during the pandemic.

Awful service - do not use! I booked a car to LAX and after communicating to the driver I was running a little late, the driver left the pick-up location without warning. I was then left without a car to the airport and had to scramble. Customer service was not helpful or accommodating after and I was still fully charged for the ride.
If in the LA area, I would highly recommend using another service to avoid any mishaps.

My sister came from overseas to NYC and there was no connecting flight to DC. She had to come in a specific flight and she couldn’t change. There was no flights coming from NY to DC area even if she has to wait for another 12 hours at airport, no flights. All connecting flights have another stop and long wait. Trust me I spent 4 hours with no luck. Train was an option but it leaves 9 hours post her arrival and a young girl who never been to the US with two suitcases go wait in train station from 9pm until 3am is not a good idea. On google search I found Blacklane and they were amazing. I read some negative reviews and contacted the company on messenger they were very responsive, kind, patients, honest and professional. Chauffeur arrived before pickup time even, he was very kind and safe driver, and his car was new, clean and comfortable. Price was excellent as all flights were within same range with long wait. Very happy customer and I will always use this company. Thank you so much

I would warn everyone to stay away from this company. I booked them for a pick up for my family coming back from vacation. First I kept getting emails from them asking me to update things in my reservation because their system was not recognizing the flight number since it was adding a space to the number. Each time they asked me to update it would change the reservation number and price. I than reached out to the company to find out why the price kept changing. They did correct that and I confirmed that they had a driver for my pick up at that time as well. However two hours in to my 6 hour flight they emailed and called which I did not get since I was on the flight and cancelled on us leaving us stranded at the airport. Additionally given they kept having me change items on the reservation I than have 4 charges on my credit card that I now have to get reversed. It was a dumpster fire.. I would not recommend them.

I was getting ready for pick-up from my hotel to go to the airport when I noticed an email that had arrived in the early hours from Blacklane telling me they could no longer pick me up, leaving me in a complete mess trying to get home. I had booked a few weeks in advance. Colleagues were booking the previous evening and being quoted twice what I had paid - I suspect I was dumped so they could profiteer from the sudden high demand at the end of a large conference. To add further insult I received a promotional email two hours later promising me a stress-free travel experience with Blacklane! Never again.

I had problems with Blacklane in New York but I’ve never had issues using them in London UK. Another reliable car service that my employer uses is one called PARKER CAR SERVICE.

Their good reviews on Google seems fake. All of the users have only one review, and the good reviews are all generic and almost exactly the same length. Could be the same deal here.

Execellent services from Blacklane in Cape Town
Fabulas Shuttles really goes out of their way
Their vehicles are clean and at high standards
Drivers are very polite and helpfull
Well done, keep up the good work
