- KatAnn Arbor, Michigan1 contributionThey canceled my Dublin Airport pickup reservation (made 7 mos prior) while I was midflight.I reserved a car in December 2021 for Dublin Airport pickup to get us to our hotel where we'd be having our elopement in July 2022. Even put a note saying I'd have my wedding dress. We left the US thinking everything was okay. Landed and couldn't see anyone with our name. Fiancée went to look. Once my phone was working, I saw I had an email from Blacklane that was received mid-flight. They were canceling our ride. They had our reservation for 7 months, this is completely unacceptable. As advised by our agents to you on two separate ocassions, we have not charged you for this ride. When you make a booking, Blacklane reserves the funds on your credit card with a pre-authorization. While your card is not charged at this point, some banks show these pre-authorizations the same way they show charges. We will not actually charge your card up until 24-48 hours after the ride is taken. All of us here at Blacklane are fully committed to working with you in a way that meets your specific needs. If you adjust the time of the reservation and then click cancel, it creates a new record number and does not cancel your updated ride. This happened to me twice and they did not refund me for my cancelled rides - only offered my 25% off my next ride? Disputing with my credit card company. We hire a car and driver to take us to central London, wait and pick us up, a round trip of about 50 miles. They didn't tell us the driver would not wait and different one would pick us up. He turned up early, we weren't there, he sent a text, I responded with '10 mins' When we arrived he had gone. I contacted him by texe and the response was 'Sorry, your job is cancelled' Blacklane send you messages froma 'Ni reply' account, so you can't respond to them directly. - Lalita S1 contributionDo not useThis company tried to delay my reservation until the last possible moment and then ultimately cancelled it. The cancellation occurred at 8am, only three hours before my scheduled pick-up time of 11am. To make matters worse, I received no notification, and the reservation simply vanished from their app, making it seem as though it was never cancelled. As a result, I missed my flight and they still charged me for the reservation. We told him we’d like to stop halfway, and he said nothing, making us both feel uncomfortable to request a bathroom break. The windows were filthy. Only when he saw me taking a picture did he get out to clean the windshield. For such an expense, it would have been nice to be treated halfway decently. We got there safely. - James B1 contributionTotally UnreliableI started using Blacklane based on a recommendation from a collegue. I got two airport transfers in NYC without a problem. Then I booked transfers from the airport in Tampa to my home in Gainesville. The first time they cancelled the ride while I was flying to Tampa. I got the “sorry you’re stranded” email when I landed. They gave me a 25% voucher for my next ride so I decided to try them again. Pickup at my house for a 2.5 hour ride to the airport. They literally cancelled 30 min before pickup and offered a $25 voucher. Had to scramble like hell to find an Uber. I will NEVER use this company again. - NOLADahwlin5 contributionsNever Use This ServiceThis business should not be operating in New Orleans. I booked transportation for 5 people weeks before a Mardi Gras ball. It was confirmed and paid for. The day of the event, I received an email confirmation with the name of the driver. An hour before the pick up, I received a confirmatory text. Ten minutes before the driver was to arrive, the business called (from New York) saying that the driver could not get to my home because of parades. I knew this was false because any experienced driver in New Orleans would know there were many ways to get to my home, and would have planned their route earlier in the day. There were no parades within miles of the house. It was too late to get any other transportation. I had to drive us, which was an absolute nightmare because of the traffic at the venue and access to parking. Yes, my money was refunded, but that really was not sufficient for the unnecessary stress and drama caused in addition to then having to pay for parking. - kelly A1 contributiondumpster fireI would warn everyone to stay away from this company. I booked them for a pick up for my family coming back from vacation. First I kept getting emails from them asking me to update things in my reservation because their system was not recognizing the flight number since it was adding a space to the number. Each time they asked me to update it would change the reservation number and price. I than reached out to the company to find out why the price kept changing. They did correct that and I confirmed that they had a driver for my pick up at that time as well. However two hours in to my 6 hour flight they emailed and called which I did not get since I was on the flight and cancelled on us leaving us stranded at the airport. Additionally given they kept having me change items on the reservation I than have 4 charges on my credit card that I now have to get reversed. It was a dumpster fire.. Had a car booked well in advance for a journey from Richmond, Virginia to Dulles Airport, Washington for a transatlantic flight to London. Knowing it was the Sunday after Thanksgiving I specifically requested an early pickup. I received a text around 1pm informing me of my drivers name and ETA of 4pm - then at 3.30pm the driver called and said he would be 60-90 minutes later than booked as traffic was bad !!! I said that was unacceptable but they had no back up plan and had it not been for my wonderful husband driving me the 3 hours to DC I would have missed my flight and key business meetings. In 30+ years of business travel I have never experienced anything so totally unprofessional and inept. Strongly suggest you avoid at all costs.

Completely unreliable service. When booking you choose the type of car. We booked a business class sedan as my mother is unable to get into high vehicles. There was a separate more expensive SUV option which I did not book intentionally. The company sent a huge SUV. We were unable to use the car and it ruined our plans and day. The company could not get another car and refused to refund my payment for three hours of car service time even though it was their error to not send the type car we booked. The company was rude, arrogant and not a business I would ever use again or reccomend

Blacklane used to be a high quality chauffeur service. The last few drivers we had could not understand English (whilst driving in America). The last driver alternated between accelerating and braking so much we felt ill.
To top it off, we have had TWO drivers tell us they don’t get tips from the company. If that’s true, the website is lying. If it is not true, we felt we had to tip him directly. Shame on Blacklane. Either the “handpicked” drivers are lying or you are.

Once a great company I used a lot 10 years ago, but now expanded at the expense of customer service.
They will not let you know who is collecting you until one hour before your ride, so you are left wondering if and when they will come, as you are not allowed to know your driver, the way you can with most taxi companies. Also, you are paying almost double the price of the usual taxi companies.
Ringing the call centre for the UK, you end up speaking on a terrible line where you can barely hear the representative talking to you in a very strong South African accent, who even gave me the wrong number for my driver.
On my actual pick up they sent two separate drivers on two separate booking numbers.
SADLY, this company like many others now focus in on using bots and not a real person to talk to, and focus on increasing revenue to sell on the company instead of concentrating on real customer service.
I e mailed a few people, including the founder and CEO but got zero response! Not one to use anymore.

I used Blacklane to and from LAX. We had excellent service from Ali, picking us up. Then primo service from Amin taking us back to LAX. IT just made our day of travel go so smooth and enjoyable. Both drivers respectfully met us and had to deal with my hard to manage “rollator”! Both willingly and kind to help! It just made the trip go so nicely ! Plus both drivers had two ice cold waters ready for us! Thank you so so much!

I have used this company for a few years. Always had great service. Today they canceled a ride 1 hour before pickup. I had scheduled it 2 weeks prior. It was a surgery procedure

Utter garbage company. Tried twice to book with them on separate days for my wife's upcoming trip. Both times we'd put her info in, the flight, etc. and it would completely change the booking time. There appears to be a bug in their system that shows you the local time but changes it for some reason based off of your local one. Tried to change it, the site kicked the reservation to the next day instead of the correct time. Also, both times the credit card company flagged the booking as fraud. Went with another company, no such issues. Avoid Blacklane.

I found Blacklane to be completely unreliable. They cancelled my reservation, made weeks prior, after my arrival in Mexico City. Just left me hanging. That is about as bad as it gets for car service. Worse yet, when I texted to express my disappointment, I received several paragraphs of pre-scripted responses, which essentially were just a lot of meaningless BS.
I recommend looking elsewhere for your car service needs.

I booked a pickup at the Nice, France Airport and another pickup from our hotel back to the Airport 8 days later in October 2023. On the day of arrival our flight was 1/2 hr late, which they were suppose to monitor. Driver arrived and left, as we just arrived. He said I can't wait and we have no one else to pick you up. I received a call from the office, as we are standing with our bags coming from customs, that the driver left and we have no one to come get you. I then cancelled with dispatch my upcoming pickup 8 days later. We then had to call an Uber to get to the airport which was much cheaper. Eight days later their driver arrived at our hotel to drive us to the airport, we refused to take them and I told the office that I cancelled this service. They are now trying to charge my credit card a partial fee for both dates. We are disputing. Do not use this company they are terrible.
