- Hugh9 contributionsPlenty of time to take in the great views! It’s not cheap, but what is great is that once you are up there, you can stay as long as you want. We bought a ticket on site for 3pm. We were warned there could be an hour queuing, but in the event we were up at the viewing platform in less than 20 mins. The views were great and we stayed until after sunset and then were able to see the city by night too. Didn’t visit any other sky scrappers in the city, but some reviews complained of long lines and limited time up top. So One WTC seems a good option!Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 3 January 2024

It stands on the site of the former 6 WTC building. It is the tallest building in the United States and in the Western Hemisphere. At the base is the poignant and moving 9/11 Memorial and there is a terrific 3 story Observation Deck on the 100th-102nd floor offering incredible views of the city.Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 March 2024
- Ramesh APhiladelphia, Pennsylvania245 contributionsNice area for touristThis is a landmark center in the financial district. They have done a great job in creating an area to give tribute to 9/11, then there is a one world observatory, huge mall with lot of shops, subway access, good centers etc. There are a lot of photo areas created to attract tourists. Beautiful place and must visit area.Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 17 April 2024
- Andy Kos129 contributionsA must visit attraction in New York with amazing viewsWe managed to time our visit perfectly, it had been cloudy in the morning, with virtually zero visibility, but by midday it was clearing, and when we visited around 1pm we were able to get straight up to the top with almost no queues and no crowds. You could see it had the potential to get mega busy at peak times, and I was so glad we avoided that. We were able to use the New York Pass to get tickets, which worked out good value overall.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 29 April 2024
- toesintheH20Newnan, Georgia85 contributionsA must.We toured the 9-11 memorial gardens on our own and then headed to the tower. We did the $75 tickets ($65 on sale) with elevator up, 360° views, little I-Pad type tour guides that we could hold up to the skyline, select a building, and it would show a short video or give more info. Our tix also included a $15 credit to spend on souvenirs or at the snack shop. It was neat experience. We were comfortably done in 2 hours.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 3 July 2024

I think it is good enough, more attractive than the twin towers which were very big, but not very graceful. This sets a tone and leaves a mark with a purpose of survival.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 August 2024

My family and I visited The One World Trade Center last week while we were on holiday. While visiting lady liberty island, we took the ferry that takes you to battery park, and from there it's about a 15mins walk to One World Trade Center. It was around noon when we started our walk towards the WTC, once we started getting closer, you could see the freedom tower and it's beautiful. There were lots of people taking pictures, standing in line for the museum, buying souvenirs, etc. You could go up to the observatory, but it's a long wait, so i recommend getting their early to beat the crowds. There's a lot of security there so we felt safe. If your in NYC, this is a must see place.

We decided to spring for the priority tour and I'm so glad we did. Ended up with with no waiting in line, and me and my wife were escorted by Emma our delightful and knowledgeable tour guide, on a personal tour through the building. Emma gave us detailed and fascinating information about the city and was kind enough to answer all of our questions. It absolutely felt like the VIP treatment, and I can't think of a better way to start a trip to NYC.
While the cost per person is a bit more than the regular tickets, I feel it was well worth it, as each person also got $15 towards cocktails or souvenirs which we were planning on anyways. Would absolutely recommend this to everyone, book those tickets in advance and show up about ten minutes early for the priority tour and if you're lucky you can say hi to Emma.

Stupidest thing I’ve ever paid money for in my 7 years of living in NYC. If you want views do Top of the Rock instead. They made you wait in multiple lines to watch 2 min videos which advertise more things they sell, force you to listen to someone talk to you about the iPads they offer for a fee, and when you finally get to the top it is all indoors, most of the windows are obstructed by random restaurants, and the window panes are too broken up for a sweeping view. Then, worst of all, there is a line to exit which takes another hour. It’s horrifying do Top of the Rock instead, save yourself.

As expected the views are amazing and wonderful. You are given an iPad (if you paid for that ticket) but I personally didn't use it as it's so large and cumbersome and you are just looking at the views anyway.
Upon starting the tour it felt as if I had walked into the back lot of Universal studios! We felt that was inappropriate.
Having walked around the Observation decks and seen all of wonderful New York, we decided to go upstairs for a soda and for me a glass of wine. We encountered the most rude and obnoxious member of staff who tried to stop my partner coming into the bar area, as I was having a glass of wine and he wanted a soft drink! I felt that their obnoxious attitude, after my partner had purchased an extremely over priced bottle of soda really spoilt my whole experience of that day at the One World Tower. Many years I had the pleasure of dining at The Window of the World restaurant and I just wanted to encounter that experience again ... but alas no.

Horrible experience, charged us priority but there is nothing priority about it. The vouchers you can only use once so you have to use all of it and the vouchers dont include the 18% required gratuity. Total rip off, the edge is 100x better.

Despite having a New York City Pass and having admission included, the ticketing system advised us of a large queue that we’d have to join. It advised that the queue was approximately 64 minutes long. Being eager to not only see the views atop this iconic building but also keen to explore the rest of this city we opted to pay a “bargain” price of circa $50 for express entry.
Our visit to this site was subsequently ruined upon discovering we had been lied to and in fact there was no such wait. And regardless of paying this fee or not, everyone went up immediately. While it was of course nice to not queue up, it was not nice to have been lied to and pay for a service that was not needed.
Especially considering the emotional relevance of this site, it is disappointing and frankly disgraceful that this organisation would peddle money out of people through such deceptive means.
Equally, there claim of the highest observation deck I think hold little prevalence for this price and deception considering alternative observations available in the city.
While the elevator experience was very enjoyable the ticketing overall ruined the experience and I would not recommend.

A must see during your visit to NYC. Tremendous history for the little one here. The restaurant high in the tower is well worth your time and if your lucky enough to reserve a table well in advance and have a clear day to enjoy the sunset / city view … wow, wow, wow!

The views are wonderful, but this was not toddler friendly despite their free admission (mine was full price as I didn’t buy ahead as I wasn’t sure we would be able to time it and then I didn’t want to wait an hour for the standard package). I went with my 5 and 3 year old. We decided to get a snack (there was a $15 voucher with my full priced ticket for food) so they could sit but then AFTER we got thru the narrow cafe with our $40 snacks I saw they only had adult sized stand up tables and they wouldn’t let us sit in the restaurant despite it being empty. We had to go downstairs (balancing everything) to benches which is of course not ideal for toddler eating. Then we enjoyed the views and on the way out stopped at the restroom which didn’t have a changing table, just a hard marble slab. Luckily my 3YO can do a quick change standing up but half way thru a staff member came in and yelled at me that he isn’t allowed to stand on the counter (I was right in front of him holding him putting on his pants). Overall it seemed a tourist trap complete with expensive silly photos and not friendly to the younger visitors.

The redevelopment of this area is fabulous. Some fabulous looking buildings and the elevator ride is not to be missed. At the top you have great views of NYC, west to Jersey City and south beyond Staten Island

How long does this tour take if you have a skip the line pass?
Written 8 October 2019

One of those tour events where I don’t think the pass is of much value, especially this time of year when the lines are very short or none at all. Like yourself we had a skip the line pass connected to another tour we were on. Went up the elevator without waiting and spent about 1 1/2 hours at the observatory (more than enough time in my opinion). Rented the optional $15 iPad per person that helped to Id the buildings visible from the tower. The display was of poor quality and I probably wouldn’t rent it again. But it was our first visit there so it was worth it.

Definitely get them when you get there. Advance tickets are a rip off and usually cost more than simply buying on the day.

We visited on Sunday January 15th and weren't sure what time we'd be at the Tower - so we purchased the priority flexible tickets - well worth it because there were LOTS of people waiting in the other line - be sure to video the elevator ride up and down - and the intro at the top - fantastic. Enjoy!
